So we're in agreement. Really unless it's awful, it should be fine

Re: TOY STORY 4 (June 2017)
The concept just seems like a real come down from Toy Story 3. People really wanted that to be the end. Plus, it seems people really just want original films from Pixar, after Cars 2 and MU.

MU got clobbered by the red-hot DM2 at that time but it still managed to cross $250m mark.

Even if it's a great movie like the last three, everyone on the planet was satisfied with three movies. People will see it because it's Pixar, but it just does, not sound good. Look at any comments section on the internet on any article about Toy Story 4, people think this movie is a bad idea.

Yeah I agree. Unnecessary.
Pixar: Stop while you're way, way ahead. Toy Story 3 was the perfect denouement.
Romantic fucking comedy? Just let it be ferchrissakes.

Re: TOY STORY 4 (June 2017)
TS3 was the perfect ending. This is just greed.
More than happy with a couple of TV specials esch year but no need for a 4th film.

Re: TOY STORY 4 (June 2017)
I have no idea what this will do. With the over performance of Dory and I2, it seems that audiences really don’t tire of Pixar’s biggest brands. Reception will matter hugely here. If it gets acclaimed like the first three, it will be the biggest of the franchise. If it gets Finding Dory reception or weaker, it will gross less than Toy Story 3.

600m+
This must dethroned Incredibles 2 and become the highest grossing movie of summer 2019

It won't do more than Incredibles 2.

Re: TOY STORY 4 (June 2017)
The fact that the series ended perfectly with the third film will certainly have some impact on the gross due to a case of one time too many.
That said - it should still be good for $400-$450m which would be a great fete in a competitive summer for family films - Avengers, Pikachu, Minecraft, Aladdin, Secret Life of Pets all being released before it - with Spider-man and TLK after it.

Re: TOY STORY 4 (June 2017)
I was a bit unsure about the inclusion of this new character (called Forky apparently), but actually I think it's kind of neat. It's a child's making. Not a factory-produced toy. And I just love that. I mean, the fourth one NEEDED an angle to it. There's no way, especially after the third movie, that they could just continue with the same old characters and just another toy adventure. This new character hints at this fourth one being fresh. I look forward to it.

The stuff with this new character sounds really interesting. As for box office predictions I honestly don't have a clue, especially after how much Finding Dory and Incredibles 2 overperfomed. Not saying this will automatically do $600M+, but I think it's at least good for $400-$450M and an easy $1B+ WW.

Re: TOY STORY 4 (June 2017)
The only Disney "tentpole" people care less about this year than Toy Story 4 is Aladdin. Every bit of marketing so far has been pretty much trash.
This will gross sub 300m.

Re: TOY STORY 4 (June 2017)
I’ve definitely enjoyed the toy versions of Key and Peele’s movie-buff valets. Its a weird way to market the movie though. Surely kids will not get the reference and they’ve done it twice now.
