 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 5
I actually think Season 2 was worse than 5. Outside of the Episode 9 there was some weak episodes.

Definitely the weakest season as far as I'm concerned.

I'm rewatching the series with friends and the way one of them is praising S5 as some slow character study is making me roll my eyes lol.

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 5
This season has been better than Season 2. Especially given the source material they had to work with.
Dorne was crappy though. Then again I found the Dorne parts in the book unintrresting. Always preferred the Iron Islands.

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 5
I think next season shoud be much better than the current season. The Greyjoy castings were being confirmed and we should get a big battle between the Boltons and Stannis. I wonder if the Freys and Tullys will return.
I think those were my favorite part of the two books meaning Riverun and the Iron Islands

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 5
I was thinking about something, it is looking more and more likely that a lot will be spoiled from the last two books. I have to say Martin should be ashamed for not getting off his arse and finishing his work. Tolkein finished Lord of the Rings within 2 years. J.K Rowling took 10 years to write all 7 Harry Potter books. I could throw Stephen King in there who publishes at least 1 book a year sometimes more. And you can't say computers help because Charles Dickens wrote 1-3 books a year. I have to say Martin either is completely lost and has no clue how to finish the series or is just really bad at procrastinating. Sorry had to rant this somewhere, I am guess I am getting tired of the book snobs who criticize the series. At this rate Martin may never finish the series anyways.

I've been saying for years that he will never finish the books. He's doing everything but writing it seems.

He's made bad decisions in his writing after the 3rd book and then got himself muddled up. He then gets himself involved in so many things other than writing these books that he's list touch with them. The fane brought on by the show has only made things worse. 11 years to churn out 2 books that are weaker than his first 3 is very sad. Kudos to him for creating the amazing world but he also needs to get his ass back into gear. I'm pretty sure he'll want to stretch the story to 8 books too.

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 5
So what scene in the next episode will "Break the internet"?? The guy who plays Pod mentioned the episode ending will "break the internet". My thoughts... It could simply mean - Jon's stabbing. And lets face it this is most likely as most of the show's viewers havnt read the books. So its MAJOR!!
That said - no other scene that could happen at the surface is BREAK the INTERNET worthy...
- Cersei's walk - major scene but will likely happen early on and isn't that big of a thing. Introducing Robert Strong will cause a stir but nothing crazy.
- Dany and the Dothraki - will be cool and something positive but I don't think they'll end with it
- Dorne/Mycrella/Tommen/Sand Snakes/Jaime - I think this storyline will stretch into next season so nothing major here
- Varys return - I think we may see him but I think his end of book scenes will move into Season 6 (they haven't even shown Kevan Lannister yet)
- Arya - some cool scenes here I believe - especially with Merryn Trent but not internet breaking
- Winterfell - this is the big unknown. Anything could happen here with Sansa/Reek/Stannis/Brienne/Boltons. This is also something that the Pod actor would know about as he'd likely be in some of these scenes.
- Mereen - some cool Tyrion/Jorah/Daario scenes - perhaps taking on some of Barristen's ADWD scenes. But nothing huge.
That leads me to believe - LS could certainly make an appearance. I wont get my hopes up but I think there is a chance that if it will ever happen - it will happen here. Or else it wont happen at all. I know the showrunners etc have claimed she wont appear at all - but they could be bluffing.
Or as above - it could be the Jon stabbing which is huge in its own right.

If its Pod and the title is "Mother's Mercy", this one makes sense and involves him and the book Mother's Mercy refers to Lady Stoneheart so hopefully that happens because of the outcry last year of excluding her. This was something fans hoped for

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 5
Blah. I love Game of Thrones, but this season was tedious. Considering Jon Snow is one of most popular characters, if not the most popular (Tyrion and Dany being the other two), this may hurt the show a bit in the future.
And I'm assuming the Dothraki here are the ones who left Drogo, so... they're going to capture Dany, right? And that damn woman saying "shame" for what felt like nearly 10 minutes! Please let her be one of the first to die next season, please.

So it looks like Stannis is going to lose the Battle of Winterfell in the book. And now with Mel back at the wall, we know she will rez Jon it is certain.

I think Stannis is still alive otherwise they would not have cut to the next scene.

Agreed. He will be. He's saying he's not coming back but it's just like keeping a death a secret, you gotta keep resurrection secret too.

This season is a clusterfuck except for Hardhome. They turned the show into Brienne fan fiction while making Cersi more sympathetic and Stannis as evil.

 Re: Game of Thrones:Season 5
Where does his story really go from there, though? It seems incredibly unlikely he'll take command of the Night's Watch again, so does he just go on to lead the wildlings against the White Walkers (or attempt to retake Winterfell with them)?
I haven't read this far into the series, so maybe it's hinted at more closely in the books.
