Fiennes is Oscar worthy here, but I didn't find it particularly deep or moving. It was pretty though, and watchable, unlike Moonrise Kingdom.

I just rewatched this and I felt the same way I did about it in theater. It's a gorgeous film to look at but beneath its glossy surface is not much for me to soak in. Surprised this was the film Anderson got the most Oscar attention for.
