 Re: Germany Box-Office Thread
The UK also believes in admissions, but I know that Germany recorded grosses in DEM before they changed to Euro.

 Re: Germany Box-Office Thread
Transformers openings (admissions, always including previews):
963,916 TF3 815,766 TF2 810,000 TF4 (estimate) 595,859 TF1
Biggest opening of the year and very impressive as TF4 opened on the hottest weekend of the year...

I hate good weather on weekends. TF4 could have easily had 1m+ admissions.

Very nice opening for HTTYD2 and dethroning TF4 even though marginally.

 Weekend Actuals 31/14
http://www.insidekino.com/DTop10/14/DTop14JUL31.htmThe SPIDER-MAN franchise is really broken - when the 1st one had 5.2m admissions and the 5th one 1.1m admissions - when 22 JUMP STREET opens better than TASM2 for Sony despite the fact that 21JS only had 0.35m admissions...

Looks like LUCY has a slight edge defending the No. 1 spot with THE EXPENDABLES 3 and French blockbuster QU... right behind...

 Re: Germany Box-Office Thread
Qu'est-ce qu'on a fait à bon dieu is gonna get more than 3 million admissions, IMO. And give how weak the rest of the year looks, it will be enough for a spot in the Top 5. In fact, Mockingjay I and The Hobbit 3 are the only locks to pass 3 million admissions for the rest of the year. Interstellar will probably do it too, but it is not a lock.
I also think that Wir sind die Neuen will hit 1 million admissions - probably at some point in 2015.
For me, the most impressive performance for a Hollywood film this year so far was probably 22 Jump Street. Such a HUGE increase over the first film.
Can't believe that Maleficent, X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Lego Movie, Godzilla and (most likely) Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will end up not even hitting 1,5 millio admissions. What the hell? Edge of Tomorrow not even getting half a million admissions and performing that much worse than Oblivion or Elysium is embarrassing.
