Thanks. Well, onto the top 100.
Ok, I admit I manipulated the grading so that all of the top 100 would be over 8.0.
8.0 In order:
89 Being John Malkovich (1999) 8.0 - I was suprised that I liked this so much more then Eternal Sunshine, and I'm not sure why. For some reason I was extremely entertained.
90 Terminator 2 (1991) 8.0 - Easily the best of the franchise IMO, and one of the best action films ever made.
91 Lantana (2001) 8.0 - I tend to like ensemble dramas like this, still this was one of the best.
92 The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999) 8.0 - Exhilarating. Thrillers rarely make me nervous, but this one did.
93 Road to Perdition (2002) 8.0 - Good drama
94 Traffic (2000) 8.0 - Gladiator and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon are still better. Oops, I've said too much.
95 Spartan (2004) 8.0 - Great thriller, and it features Veronica Mars, something I did not know until I checked IMDB.
96 GoodFellas (1990) 8.0 - I think it might be a bit overrated, but still great.
97 Run Lola Run (1998) 8.0
98 Akira (1988) 8.0
99 Chinatown (1974) 8.0
100 My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002) 8.0 - I'm not really sure this belongs here. It's been a while since I've seen it, and while I thought it was hilarious the first time, since then I have come to remember it less fondly. Perhaps if I see it again it will drop out of my top 100. Well actually, that will happen with the next great movie I see.

Amos wrote: 7.9 In order 101 Equilibrium (2002) 7.9 - disappointed with the bitch-slap-type fight at the end, but good movie otherwise, very inventive 102 U-571 (2000) 7.9 - liked it less after seeing Das Boot I actually thought this one was more thrilling then Das Boot, although I would rank DB ahead overall. Quote: 103 Snatch (2000) 7.9 - great 104 The Thirteenth Floor (1999) 7.9 105 Meltdown (1995) 7.9 106 A Perfect Murder (1998) 7.9 107 Along Came a Spider (2001) 7.9 - can't remember it well, but I think it was pretty good I watched it recently for a second time, and it was better then I remembered. Otherwise, I would have it ranked 7.6-7.7. Quote: 108 Point of No Return (1993) 7.9 109 Blow (2001) 7.9 - good but nothing more imo It's been a while, but I had this ranked #6 of 2001. Quote: 110 Donnie Brasco (1997) 7.9 111 Jackie Brown (1997) 7.9 - very entertaining flick Nothing against Kill Bill, but I would rank this ahead. I think this is underrated among QT's films. Quote: 112 Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) 7.9 113 Matchstick Men (2003) 7.9 114 Mad Max (1979) 7.9 115 Confidence (2003) 7.9 116 The Aviator (2004) 7.9 117 Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring (2001) 7.9 - very entertaining I'm actually in a way suprised that I'm ranking the LOTR films so high since I'm not happy with the way they differed from the books. But, they were so well made. Quote: 118 Lawrence of Arabia (1962) 7.9 - classic 119 American History X (1998) 7.9 - only 119? Not enough room in the top 100 I guess. Quote: 120 Gangs of New York (2002) 7.9 - it was alright 121 Eyes Wide Shut (1999) 7.9

I've noticed in looking at my top 100, that I not only have a preference for certain genres, but many of my top films contain a certain element. I wonder if anyone can notice the trend. Well, so far it actually hasn't really shown up much.

8.1
In order
79 Die Hard (1988) 8.1 - Great action film. Even better then Jet Li's Meltdown (Also excellent at 105), which seems like a remake.
80 Seven (1995) 8.1
81 Scream 2 (1997) 8.1 - I was suprised that I liked this sequel nearly as much as the original. One of my favorite trilogies. This is also one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.
82 Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) 8.1 - Certainly an improvement over FOTR IMO.
83 Minority Report (2002) 8.1 - Generally great although the ending was a bit weak. Still, it was much better then A.I.
84 Wicker Park (2004) 8.1 - I was shocked when I rented this; I was expecting to to be mediocre at best. I definitely found it to be suspenseful. This seems to be a love or hate movie. I actually did love it.
85 The Silence of the Lambs (1991) 8.1
86 The Life of David Gale (2003) 8.1 - Another love or hate film. I thought it was a very entertaining thriller.
87 Dressed To Kill (1980) 8.1
88 Apollo 13 (1995) 8.1

Very pleased with these selections. Although i feel Se7en, Die Hard and Minority Report is too low on your list.

Oh, yes, City of God was brilliant. It certainly felt real. The documentary that's on the DVD was also very interesting. It's amazing, the contrast between the two different sides of Rio.
Oh, and I'm glad to know somebody else here liked Wicker Park.

Yeah, me too. I can't believe I have it so high. When I was making the top 100 part of me said that I should drop a movie like that to save me the embarassment. But, I decided to rank them exactly as I liked them. I don't know why, I liked it so much. Maybe the mere fact that it's a drama/thriller played a role.

We seem to agree quite a bit.
I would have Dances with Wolves higher. My problems with the movie were not so much the movie itself, but the cultural biases and common misconceptions it seemed to perpetrate. But, certainly a great film.
