 28 killed, many more injured by knife-wielding Chinese mob  Quote: At least 28 people were killed and 113 wounded on Saturday evening when a group of "terrorists" armed with knives stormed a railway station in the southwest Chinese city of Kunming, according to state news agency Xinhua, citing authorities.
It was an organized, premeditated terrorist action involving more than 10 attackers, authorities told the news agency. Five suspects were shot to death and the hunt continued for others, according to authorities.
The report did not detail a possible motive.
People were attacked at the station square and ticket hall, Xinhua said in an update Sunday.
Chinese President Xi Jinping urged law enforcement "to investigate and solve the case and punish the terrorists in accordance with the law," according to Xinhua.
Yang Haifei, a resident of Yunnan, told Xinhua he was buying a ticket when a group of people, most of them in black, rushed into the station and attacked.
"I saw a person come straight at me with a long knife and I ran away with everyone," he said, adding that people who were slower were severely injured. "They just fell on the ground."
He said he sustained injuries to his chest and back.
Doctors were seen transporting injured people to a hospital, the news agency reported.
A doctor with Kunming No.1 People's Hospital told Xinhua over the phone they're not sure of the number of casualties.
Xinhua said the Kunming railway station is one of the largest in southwest China.
The news agency quoted a 50-year-old woman whose older husband was among those killed.
"Why are the terrorists so cruel?" said Chen Guizhen, holding her husband's bloodied ID card.
Chinese Premier Li Keqiang asked local authorities to ensure safety at public places, Xinhua reported.
Two weeks ago, 11 "terrorists" died in an attack in northwest China's restive Xinjiang region.
Frequent outbreaks of violence have beset Xinjiang, a resource-rich area where the arrival of waves of Han Chinese people over the decades has fueled tensions with the Uyghurs, a Turkic-speaking, predominantly Muslim ethnic group. _________________   1. Interesting CNN quoted the word "terrorists" every time they used it. And they talked like it happened due to ethnic tension. Is that 100% true?
This kind of violence against civilians should be condemned. And these attackers are not doing any good in advancing their cause when their action has turned the majority of people against them.

Apparently more attacks like this are planned for China. It's part of a big plot, one detained attacker stated. Dirty Xinjiang people should just stick to cooking cheap meats by the side of the road instead of doing no good in advancing their cause by killing innocent civilians.
