 Re: Rush
This was pretty damn great. I enjoyed it a lot and it flowed very well. I've met Niki Lauda more than one time and Brühl was just fantastic playing him. Hemsworth gave a great, charismatic performance too. The last half hour had my eyes glued to the screen. It's a great story made into a great film.

Hm. What did I say? I gave it a mostly positive review. It just did not blow my mind.

The more I think about it, the more I like it. This takes the spot for my favorite film this year so far.

 Re: Rush
You'll love it! That track was always interesting so I'm looking forward to it being back on the calendar. Get grand stand tickets if you can.

 Re: Rush
Gez is right. as much as I enjoyed being at the Belgian GP this year pay like the 50 euro extra for grandstand tickets. it will save you hours trying to get a good viewing point plus your legs won't die. main straight tickets will be like 400 euro more forget those just get grandstand around the circuit and you'll be ok

 Re: Rush
This is actually my favorite Ron Howard film to date. Really, engrossing fun film. The contrast of the two racers mentalities is perfect. I loved how easily it jumped from one main character's POV to the other, making you feel like it's their film before switching back. Great film.

 Re: Rush
Yeah, Ron Howard sucks and I don't even know the difference between formula one and the likes of NASCAR but this movie is excellent for some reason

Riggs wrote: Are those very expensive? Sorry I must have missed this. Probably 200-400 Euro for the 3-days - not sure. But would be worth it. But as Gulli said - you can get the cheaper grand stand tickets and use the Friday to walk around the track and check out different general admission positions/corners. Gulli - any plans for attending any GPs this season?

 Re: Rush
Since I've been so into Forza lately, I decided to finally give this one a ride. Back in the day of 2013 I didn't much care for the sport of racing, nor did I much care for Ron Howard. And while I do think this is could have been better with an elite director by the camera, it is definitely one of his better films and very good overall. Bruhl and Hemsworth both give excellent perfornances and sell the different attitudes required to participate in the sport. One thing that bugged me that had nothing to do with the actual movie - the score. i know I've heard alot of these songs before, but where? Did Zimmer reuse it somewheere down the line? I liked the score, but it kept giving me brain farts cause I couldn't figure it out. Anyways, strong B+ for Rush.

 Re: Rush
With F1 in the news more than ever after this epic and controversial season, this is worth re-watching. I'd also recommend Grand Prix (1966) and Senna (2011).
