very original, though the chracters get annoying after a hwile. the "im cumming everywhere!" "no youre not"! was the most cringeworthy thing ive ever seen in atheater

More cringe worthy than, "RELEASE THE WORLD ENGINE"?

This Is the End
Haha, what a blast that was! Everyone is brilliant in it. Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, James Franco and Craig Robinson, but it's the other stars that are the memorable ones. Michael Cera was hilarious, and Danny McBride was awesome (the only one that made me laugh out loud), then the Tatum cameo was a welcome surprise. There are so many great scenes in this and so many quotable lines. It'll need a second viewing to fully appreciate. The Devil scenes were awesome. This film is somewhat revolutionary in its humour and real-life perspective. The thing it's lacking is the comedy, those pissing-your-pants moments where it's just so funny you cannot control your bodily functions - in that respect, it is like most other US comedies.
I was disappointed that Jason Segel left so early. I like that guy a lot. Also, another thing, I get that it's now funny to take the piss out of 90s pop groups, but the constant Backstreet Boys stuff just isn't funny. Overall I think it's commendable to put your name on the line and just dick around, and it looked very much like all of them had a great time on set. Fun film. Great, original concept. Very entertaining.

Loved it. They took what could have been a one or two trick pony and the comedy funny and fresh in other ways. I really think almost all the performances in this are outstanding, both on a comedic level and when they're being sincere. The plot turns also all worked for me. Surprisingly well directed film both in the house and the action scenes. A mini comedy classic, can't ask for more from this great premise

It is an instant comedy classic, IMO.

 Re: This Is the End
I just rewatched this and it's some funny shit. I would not mark as like the best comedy since, or for a certain time, the apocalyptic stuff outside of the house is just a bit too fantastical for me. Everything inside the house is pretty much gold however, a lot of hilarious stuff that is and will remain great, from them playing and making fun of themselves, to death scenes and everything involving McBride. The film is a string of fun banter that starts and doesn't stop. Love the Backstreet Boys ending too.
