Re: Early Friday Numbers I'll be quite interested in seeing if Gatsby is indeed frontloaded or not. BTC thinks it'll go up tomorrow by a fair amount, but they also think it'll drop 27% on Mother's Day.  Peeples is a huge disappointment, though. I was expecting $7.5m to be around the OD up to the last couple days.

Also, Kerry Washington's seemingly bland, innocuous role in this film seems like such a departure from her fierce Scandal persona.

And the only other major newcomer today is Lionsgate’s Peeples (2,031 theaters) hich is a ‘Tyler Perry Presents’ comedy not written or directed by him. Its grosses are disastrous: #1M today for a $3.5M-$5M weekend. Peeples is literally the antithesis to Gatsby it seems.
