 Re: Men in Black III
I didn't see this because i'd never see this but i heard about the ending: cynical application of a cheap retcon for emotional resonance? You just keep up that fine, fine work, Sonnenfeld & co.

 Re: Men in Black III
I watched all three of them last week for the first time... Meh.
I actually thought the 3rd was the best of them but that's not saying much.

 Re: Men in Black III
A bit disappointing. It seemed like they didn't really want to commit to the time travel storyline, but more just wanted to have it so they could have a young Tommy Lee Jones.
A much more interesting storyline would have been the true implications of Agent K dying in 1969, like the fact Smith would have never been in the MIB at all. The jokes were all mostly miss or tired but Will Smith definitely gives it his best try.
Jermaine Clement was at least decent as Boris, but ultimately not threatening at all. There were so many chances to kill Agent J and K torward the end, like why push Agent J away instead of doing his wrist thing that seems to take little to no effort and kill him instantly??

Pretty fun in parts but also there were a number of jokes falling flat on their face. CGI was dodgy. Will Smith shows why he's a popcorn entertainer and doesn't take more challenging roles.

Just watched this. Quite enjoyed it, way better than MIB2. Definitely had some time travel problems once he returned to the future --
I liked the fact that in the present, all the aliens were computer generated but when they went to the 60s, they were all people in costumes and make up, like they just walked off the set of Star Trek.
