Re: August 3-5 Predictions Oh man, I don't have a good feeling about Total Recall and with its rumored $200 million budget (who the fuck agred to that?!), any opening below $40 million would be terrible for it...
I think Diary of a Wimply Kid can break $20 million in its opening aain. The series seems popular.

Though it wouldn't surprise me in Diary of a Wimpy Kid opened higher than Total Recall.

Re: August 3-5 Predictions Honestly I'm not feeling any of the openers. Recall's marketing has been really aggressive, but it feels like no one actually cares. I have seen only a handful of tv spots for Wimpy Kid, but the buzz seemes to be MUCH weaker than the previous movies.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days - $16M
I'm just hoping for a good drop for TDKR this weekend.

Re: August 3-5 Predictions I don't agree. I hope futuristic sci-fi action movies are always produced. They might not always be as good as Blade Runner or Minority Report, but I enjoy the genre.

Would be awful to open to only $22m like some are predicting. Even worse than the awful looking JC, DS and BS? But maybe Aurora's killed August. How fucking sad.
