 What is next for Nolan?
Please avoid posting spoilers for TDKR in this thread.
Even with the disappointing box office of Rises, WB will still give Chris Nolan a blank check for his next movie. So will he create another Inception-like spectacle or go for an oscar with a more down to earth movie? He has apparently written scripts for a Howard Hughes movie and an adaptation of The Keys To The Street.
And there is always Man of Steel 2.

Re: What is next for Nolan?
I'm not sure why, but I would love to see Nolan direct a lavish period horror movie in the general spirit of Bram Stoker's Dracula, Interview with the Vampire, and Sleepy Hollow.

Hopefully movies with twist-like endings (Prestige/Inception), because he knows how to do them right. Unlike M. Night Shamalamagingdong

Nolan + Fassbender as Bond would probably be too much for my penis to take.

Re: What is next for Nolan?
Oh wow, a Nolan/Fassbender combo on ANY project sounds to die for.
I'd definitely love to see Nolan tackle a new-but-familiar-to-him genre, like the already-mentioned war movie or period-horror. Though small would also be cool, I think he genuinely enjoys the big-budget Hollywood projects as well, even though TDK, Inception and TDKR within 4 fours has to be all kinds of exhausting.

I'd like to see him do something smaller, preferably outside his comfort zone. Comedy perhaps?

Magnus wrote: The problem with Bond though is that Craig's Bond already has attempted to do what Nolan did with Batman. So I'm not sure where Nolan goes with it. He's also sort of already made his sci-fi Bond film with Inception.
I really hope Nolan makes another Prestige-type of film. Of all his films, that has had the best replay value for me and as time goes by I think it may be his best film. Agreed. Its my favourite Nolan film.

Next one hopefully is the best movie of 2014. Unless he makes something for next holidays. I am sure it will be an original medium-sized flick.

Re: What is next for Nolan?
I imagine his next project will be something lighter and more obviously fun for an image change of pace.
Though in his heart his ideal movie project will probably always be one in which every character is a rich white Englishman.
