Post Rotten Tomatoes
They should give the user a chance to create their own Tomatometer based from reviewers they trust and from friends.

I think their site still sucks. For such a simple and easy concept they sure don't have as big a base as they should.

The site is too cluttered with crap and I think they've actually already revamped it.

Maybe it's a cliche but the sleek look popularized as modern, is the way to go.

The old days of no web designers and data winning are dwindling. I mean, to me at least, it seems like a wide open ballpark considering the only other option is the even worse designed iMDB.

Review aggregators like RottenTomatoes and MetaCritic are a blessing for those born with IOD (Independent Opinion Disability) who need to seek advice from the lowest common denominator. We've come a long way as a society in our efforts to help the handicapped!

Well the thing is its hard to see what the buzz is for a film opening...

I usually do not pay much attention to it unless I am watching a film in theaters...

IMDB has many more votes but that is after a film opens...

Meh, I like both RT and Metacritic. It doesn't mean I rely upon them any more than I rely upon any other opinion.

Some of us are smart enough to use the site as a guideline only, and then click onto reviews of people we respect and ignore the ones we don't. It's a tool just like any other resource.

To knock the whole idea of combining and organizing all the reviews in one place seems petty and silly. Don't like it? Don't go there.

That's where you and I differ.

I definitely have one opinion I rely upon far more than any other - - my own.

Even Gray Drake, RottenTomatoes Senior Editor, no longer believes in the RottenTomatoes concept!

I do not rely on them anymore and do not let them influence in my personal poit of view; however I have to admit that I sometimes review RT scores after I watch a film to see how accurate my opinion is to these critics

I despise RT. I'm ok with Metacritic because their system is weighted differently, but the RT system is insanely flawed.

But then how would you know which beloved movies to dislike?

I've never seen anyone on the Internet more pleased with themselves than Bradley Witherberry, and that's saying a lot.

People have limited time and money so its always great to see the reviews before hand when deciding. Its like not you are just looking at the score but also click on the links and read the reviews. I think RT has helped more than harm my viewing habits. If a movie trailer is bad, most of the time the RT just confirms my instincts and beliefs. There are times though that the high RT scores sway me to give a movie a chance such as Judge Dredd

Yes, Gray Drake's reasoning to why everyone should love Man of Steel is just perfect.

Quote:
“definitely the film to see, because finally Superman is back and he’s going to do big business.”
