From ERC's Twitter:

The Hunger Games - $19 million
Wrath of the Titans - $12.4 million
Mirror Mirror - $6 million

Also, from BOG:

Quote:
Solid debut for #Bully w/ $30k FRI from 5 thtrs heading to $100k+ wknd & $21k avg. Not amazing but good for a doc.

Goddamn freaking Nikki.

Not a record Friday for Hunger Games, but it's still a strong one, and on track for one of the Top 5 2nd Weekends of all time.

As expected, very mediocre for Wrath. It could still break $30 million, but it's actually probably on track for a run similar to John Carter. It may have a smaller budget, but that's still a pretty awful drop.

Decent for Mirror Mirror. It's Robert's second best opening in the last decade behind only Eat Pray Love.

Pretty good for Bully, though it's probably not gonna go very far.

Hmm so in turn Nikki's wavering sources were correct. I can see why she changed her numbers so often today, doesn't make her more reliable or anything still....

A little down from initial numbers but a great number for THG. Wrath and Mirror Mirror did according to expectations

Good hold for THG, but obviously the earlier numbers were more exciting. I expected it to have a respectable drop though. As for Wrath VERY mediocore, but better than the early numbers that were posted. The OS performance will matter the most here on out, but it's chances at $100M look pretty much out the window. I can't see it having very good legs with all the crap I have been hearing about it.

With Friday numbers THG should end up somewhere between 60-65M for the weekend, which is a very good number.

$24 million did look too high, unfortunately. A 130/135% increase though is great, and if that's $19 million flat, gives The Hunger Games the third biggest sophomore non-Holiday Friday ever I believe. Probably looking good for $62/63 million for the weekend.

Really poor for Wrath of the Titans. Less than half of it's predecessor's opening day and will need to match that one's IM to make $30 million this weekend.

In 2010, the weekend before Easter, AIW increased 51% (in its 4th weekend). I think mid 60s for HG makes more sense.

The weak increase was due to losing almost all of its 3D screens to How to Train Your Dragon that weekend.

BOG has 21 Jump Street at $4.7 million (-24%) and The Lorax at $2 million (-38%). AMAZING hold for 21JS! WOM is kicking in.

Great holds for both 21 and Lorax. I expected Lorax to lose some 3D screens to Titans, and some audience to Mirror Mirror. It wasn't affected much though.

Great to see 21 Jump Street really picking up steam. Honestly though WOM on it seems to be MUCH stronger than THG. I have been tracking the two on the Twitter Index for a while and THG hasn't gone any higher than a 8:1 ratio while 21 has been as high as a 30:1 ratio. Very interesting IMO.

BOM numbers

Looks like the theater/screen losses hit everything outside the Top 5 pretty badly. Though even Salmon Fishing isn't in for a very strong weekend.

I think Salmon did fine, it will make about $1.3m for the weekend which I think is ok.

Pretty excellent drop for Hunger Games, all things considered.

I predicted $34M and $20M openings for Wrath of the Titans and Mirror Mirror, so they performed pretty within expectations for me.

21 Jump Street is going to have a tremendous hold this weekend. Down just 25% from last Friday.

Well that's a shame. Good number, but it seems like $400m might be out of the picture.

It is so amazing that $5m difference on Friday changed $100m on the total gross for the most optimistic predictions.

Eh still $100m is too much for a single day and while I do agree it does make a BIG difference but $450m was not even brought into conversations...again only taking about the most optimistic ones today.

I'm very glad The Hunger Games went lower than Nikki reported last night.

With a $60 million second weekend (A conservative estimate) it just needs a 3.5 multiplier to make it. Since the schedule is pretty clear after next weekend, I think it can still do that. And as Magnus said I could see a lot of IMAX theaters taking it back after they're freed of Wrath of the Titans (Though Titanic also has an IMAX deal, so it could compete with that).

Either way, I think it's still very likely.

When did paki's start teaching and lecturing services? I already made clear that it is a BIG deal (NOTE THE BIG WAS AND IS IN CAPS). $100m is a stretch and that's what I was pointing too.

Post Re: Friday numbers
THG can still pull a very good number if it holds very well Saturday and Sunday, still it is clear that it would be a little more frontloaded than originals and might be bigger still closer to sequels with huge openings.

I think $400m is still in play but IMO it will miss that mark by around $10m-$20m. BTW Titanic and American Reunion combo is a BIG competition for it, combined they could go as high as $80m-$90m OW and I wouldn't count out the legs for them, so next weekend will also be interesting to see how THG holds.

I still don't buy the IMAX returning back to THG argument, after a month of its release it might get a few but after 4-5 weeks it might be too late for a movie that wasn't really designed for the format. Another thing is Titanic over its 100th anniversary will attract a lot more IMAX sales, so after April 12th IMAX owners might decide to give it another weekend's try.

only g and trix can bring the paki card without being overtly racist.

Well then I am glad I wasn't being racist there :P
