Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Dirty Rotten ScoundrelsQuote: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is a 1988 American comedy film directed by Frank Oz. The screenplay by Dale Launer, Stanley Shapiro, and Paul Henning focuses on two con artists who ply their trade on the French Riviera. Although it is not officially credited as a remake of Bedtime Story, it closely follows the plot of the 1964 film starring David Niven and Marlon Brando.
The film ranks as #85 on Bravo's 100 Funniest Movies.

Brilliant.
Don't have my review from way back when, but I saw this movie six times in first run bringing different friends each time to witness the magic...

Re: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Finally saw this.
What a fun, fun movie. Martin and Caine are a dream team here. Makes me long for the days when Steve Martin did funny movies.

I got the chance to watch this film recently at a friend's house, and it felt absolutely fresh and entertaining, nice job Sir Michael Caine

Re: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
The scene with Rupret and when Caine whips Martin's supposed lifeless legs are two of my favorite things of all time.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
One of my favourites. Thought I'd put it on and have some fun. Michael Caine is superb in this film. I love, love, love the setting. It's a British guy's vacationing paradise. There are some absolutely great scenes in this film (the whipping of the legs, the smugness of Caine as he enjoy his time with the girl etc.). I always used to think that Steve Martin was the best performer, but after tonight I have changed my mind - his performance is a little over the top. My new favourite is Caine. Regardless, the film just works. I would love to see a sequel.

Re: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
I saw the musical on Broadway and they did a really great job adapting this. John Lithgow played Caine's role even more fantastically.
