Blackass was hysterical.

Among the many bright spots of this season, I really love how the writers have turned Alex into this hilariously dim character. I loved her line about "wishing my last name was a cookie" in reference to Alyssa Milano. She's sort of become the Britta from Community of this show, i.e. the "hot" but occasionally oddly unintelligent/socially awkward member of the group.

Also:

"Guys. I think I might be addicted to Vicodin."

Tonight's episode was great. I'm finding Penny really annoying though...

I didn't even hear gay. I just heard Fat Joey.

Fun and funny episode tonight. Max better not fuck things up with Grant :P. Would like to see his character in a relationship and Grant is adorb ;). Who is the actor that plays Grant? I know I've seen him in something.

Sadly with this episode I am starting to find Penny a bit annoying. Too bad. They should take her down just a notch.

She's annoying every other episode. And every other episode she's wonderful.

Mike, it's James Wolk, who was on "Lone Star" and was in films like You Again. He's also currently recurring on "Shameless."

Anyways, hilarious ep tonight.

As if I could not love this show any more, they get all meta with Brad calling the other characters by the Friends names. Perfection. Fat Joey!

Damon Wayans Jr., if he were to actually get the Emmy nomination he richly deserves, should submit this episode for consideration. I was laughing hysterically at his antics.

"It's like Weekend at Bernie Mac's back here."

James Wolk is the dreamiest person who has ever lived.

Oh ok. I know him from You Again.

I'm with you Libs. James Wolk is cute as heck! :wub2:

A pic of him from Shameless:

He needs to get naked :D. And I need to start watching the US version of Shameless, even if he only did a guest stint.

Best episode yet? Certainly one of them. Tonight's episode was an absolute riot. Everyone (except Dave) fawning all over Grant was priceless. God this is such a great cast. I love how well they play off each other.

The Grant character really needs to be upgraded to a main cast member at some point. Not very happy with this just being a guest spot for James Wolk. He's awesome. I hope he will be brought back eventually.

Pretty sure the gang reached their peak craziness in this episode haha.

I also liked how the episode seemed oddly meta in regards to James Wolk's casting as Grant in the first place. Because, like seriously, who doesn't look at that man and practically fall in love with him? Even straight dudes ala Brad.

In a transition that has been occurring all season thanks to Elisha Cuthbert's "go for it" attitude, Alex has become one of the most dependably funny characters. "I can't help, I love the sound of bones crunching. I'm like a god, I can destroy life."

Alex has been funny, but it almost annoys me that she's a ditz 100% of the time now. It would have been fine if she were played that way from the beginning but she wasn't. I hate when characters change like that. It's like when Elle Woods changed by the end of Legally Blonde and then was back to square one again for the sequel.

Some seem to have found tonight's episode fairly annoying: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1587678/boa ... 962347?p=1

Didn't like this episode at all. Found it kind of hard to watch with all the craziness going on.

I think they do subtle humor much better than over-the-top wackiness humor but that's just me.

I did like that Penny is bringing back the Pennyisms again. souuuuuuuuuuuuucks.

Mmmm.... guess I wasn't really won over by this episode 'cause almost everyone was annoying besides Alex but I can get past that.
Am I the only one who just can't stand Penny? She was fine last season but I don't know..

I thought tonight's episode was one of this season's weakest, along with the one where that annoying mailman died and the Christmas one. It was especially disappointing after last week's.

I actually found this to be a characteristically strong episode. So much good stuff.

Max the Bear.

Penny: "From the Angela Bassett collection, Bassett by Angela for Angela Bassett"

Brad on Hard Copy: "It was a viable alternative to a Current Affair!"

All of Alex's lines about The Butterfly Effect.

Besides Bear Max, everything about this episode was stronger and funnier than last week's.
