I'm surprised how quickly The Boss is back after losing one of his closest E Street members last June. But I'm glad too. I've been waiting for new Springsteen for a while. And not new-from-1978 new.
Here's the opening track, "We Take Care Of Our Own":
Good song. Not his best by any means.
This will also feature studio versions of Land of Hopes and Dreams (performed first in 1999), American Land (performed first during the 2006 Seeger Sessions) and Wrecking Ball (performed first in 2009).
A tour is expected to start following the March 6th release.

Can't believe I didn't comment on the album before. Just listened to it through again. So much sounds experimental and different, but it really works. I love it. I can't think of a weak track right now.

Re: Bruce Springsteen - Wrecking Ball (3/6/12)
So I've been listening to Springsteen all summer. I think he's amazing. Maybe GOAT material.
Bruce fans, what are you rankings of his albums? Here is mine of the albums I have listened to so far:
1. Born to Run 2. Nebraska 3. The River 4. Darkness on the Edge of Town 5. Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ 6. Born in the USA 7. Wrecking Ball 8. Tunnel of Love 9. The Wild, The Innocent and the E Street Shuffle 10. The Ghost of Tom Joad
I think Wrecking Ball is not all that far behind the "prime" Springsteen ones. It's absolutely excellent - sounds good, great/layered lyrics, lots of heart. The Grammys are going to suck his dick this year.

this is indeed an above-average Springsteen. Not top 5 worthy but is not that far behind.

Re: Bruce Springsteen - Wrecking Ball (3/6/12)
Ooh lists!
1. Born to Run (obviously) 2. If Wild Innocent & E Street were an EP without Kitty and Wild Billy it would be here, but it's not so... Tunnel of Love 3. Darkness on the Edge of Town 4. Born in the USA 5. The River 6. Wild, Innocent & E Street (but it has two of his Top 10 best songs, maybe Top 5) 7. Nebraska 8. The Rising 9. Wrecking Ball 10. Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.
I wish he had made an album out of all the 90s tracks he had, it would have been amazing (Streets of Philadelphia, Secret Garden, a bunch of the Tracks compilation songs like Gave It a Name and Sad Eyes)
1. Darkness on the Edge of Town 2. Born to Run 3. Nebraska 4. The Ghost of Tom Joad 5. Born in the USA
Also love Wrecking Ball, Tunnel of Love, The River... pretty much anything Boss is great. Of course he has his low points, but thankfully the lows aren't closer to the end of his career.
