Jack Sparrow wrote: Rise of the Planet of the Apes - $27,832,307 (-49%) It avoided a 50+ % drop and edged out Burton's Ape's 2nd weekend. Pretty good. Here's hoping it does even better next weekend...

Strong Sunday for those films. Wonder if The Help could do sub-20% drop from Saturday.

 Re: Weekend Actuals (Aug 12-14)
Help is going to have a great run. It could make over 150. Potter's gross is interesting to note that it passed Jurassic Park for 16th place all time. It should at least pass Passion of the Christ and Spiderman 2. It will be very close if it can pass ROTK or ROTS.

A very odd time of year for Sunday - small window of between school sessions and adult vacations.

honestly, that's a great weekend for apes. It's possible 2001 film could be beaten at 180m.

 Re: Weekend Actuals (Aug 12-14)
Apes needs close to a 4.4 multiplier to get to $200 m. It's doable as its stabilizing quite quickly and has little competition...
