Re: Which of these August releases will gross the most? BTW, Focus Features wide-releasing a prestige pic the Wednesday before Labor Day (Vanity Fair, The Constant Gardener, The American, now The Debt) is such a strange quasi-tradition.

Re: Which of these August releases will gross the most? I voted Conan, but I think they all actually look pretty good for their respective genres. I think the name recognition and bigger marketing campaign will get Conan to the top though.

I voted for "Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark" just cause the original is still well accepted to this day and actually rather unsettling for a made for TV movie of the week back in the 70's.. Because of that, I'm sure AMC will run it while selling folks on this one with a damn good director behind it..

Re: Which of these August releases will gross the most? I think Columbiana will do very well. Zoe can attract good audience imo, still though it is not tested. Also the Angelina Jolie style action might help the movie.
