You're right. And I guess this is a more acceptable opening for everyone because I suppose the drop off does make sense (even if I didn't realize it before it opened). The last one didn't have great word of mouth so my expectations of $400m were unrealistic. But it's still the third biggest worldwide opening EVER. That's pretty amazing.

You should remember that The Matrix Revolutions shattered the worldwide opening week record. :P

Sure, if its opening multiplier somehow increases considerably on even the first film, despite the fact this is a second sequel and it had an inflated opening frame.

It is still more likely to than any other film this year. Though I'll be rooting for Harry Potter. It's all Kung-Fu Panda's fault.

At this point I'd think Potter has the best chance, as it's really not going to see any audience erosion and may get a boost, plus the rip-off 3D premium.

But in all likelihood, no 400 grosser film this year.

CAPTAIN AMERICA will be the one surprise to do it or come close since it's giving off an IRONMAN type of vibe and just flat out looks cool..
