It's an excellent trailer, but people are having a hard time understanding that the style of this movie is not enough for a huge audience. Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, which also had an all star cast, shows you exactly what I'm talking about. People here were fans of it's style, but other than internet-type movie freaks, it didn't have an audience. Let's not forget that Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow was PG. Sin City will be rated R. It has a very slim chance of pulling huge numbers. VERY slim. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm very confident on this one that it will not succeed.
Opening Weekend: $13.5 million
Total Gross: $35.1 million

As good as the latest trailer was, this will not have a wide appeal. As such, my prediction is:
Opening: $13.7 million
Domestic Total: $31.0 million

who on earth would want to watch a film like this with a PG-13 rating [-( having a PG-13 rating would destroy the film ultimately, I expect the R to bring in way more viewers than a PG-13 version of the film would have ever gotten

I'm sorry, but that new trailer makes the film look really stupid. It will not appeal. No one wants to watch a black and white movie.
Opening: $9.3
Total: $24.9

You are part of the internet community. They are practically the only ones who are going to see it in my opinion.

It is getting its fair share of publicity ( EW and other things of that matter ) It really could go either way. Dont know if people should be comparing this to Sky Captain, only real comparison really is that both are more creative then your average movie, also lets not forget the fact Sky Captain got pretty mediocre wom ( thus not getting good legs ) and had two actresses ( Jolie, Paltrow ) that are pretty much BO poison and one actor ( Law ) that is turning into BO Poison.
Opening - 17mil
Final - 65mil

Na man, na. Sky Captain and Sin City really do not look that similar. Sky Captain's trailer was really hard to get and all my friends thought it looked really stupid, whereas this they think looks incredibly awesome. I'm gonna raise my predictions to 30/75

Hell based on this chart, it would seem many are not aware of this movie or simply don't care.. Boy don't I feel like an idiot for my 100-120 Million box office prediction after this.. Hell, I thought this was like some sort of big budget film with an A-List Cast..
