 True Blood | Season 4 | June 26th
HBO released the first three minutes of the season premiere. Not exactly riveting stuff, but the ending is quite interesting and points towards an interesting spin on fairies. Also there are three posters with Show Your True Colors tagline HBO released a few days ago (just click on them for a bigger view).
I'll also follow the ratings again this season keeping updates in the first post for a clear view. SEASON 4 RATINGS
4.01 She's Not There 5.424 million viewers :: 3.0 A18-49
4.02 You Smell Like Dinner 2.902 million viewers :: 1.5 A18-49*
4.03 If You Love Me, Why Am I Dyin'? 5.048 million viewers :: 2.8 A18-49
4.04 I'm Alive and On Fire 5.104 million viewers :: 2.7 A18-49
4.05 Me and the Devil 5.261 million viewers :: 2.8 A18-49
4.06 I Wish I Was the Moon 5.189 million viewers :: 2.8 A18-49
4.07 Cold, Grey Light of Dawn ?.??? million viewers :: ?.? A18-49

 Re: True Blood | Season 4 | June 26th
The third season was pretty awful. I'm hoping it rebounds and is as fantastic and addicting as it was in seasons one and two. At the moment "The Vampire Diaries" is totally kicking this show's ass in terms of the shock/entertainment factor.

 Re: True Blood | Season 4 | June 26th
The third season was riddled with problems, and they killed off the most wickedly hilarious new character (Franklin) way too soon. Michelle Forbes was a much better villain than Denis O'Hare, Jason's new love interest was horrible, Sam's storyline was awful, the cliffhanger was lame, need I go on?
Season 4 has the potential to be a lot better though.

 Re: True Blood | Season 4 | June 26th
You should go on as you're wrong on almost all of the accounts. The only one you're not wrong is Jason. He ALWAYS had horrible love stories. If the third season was really that bad it wouldn't build audience throughout the season again. It wouldn't get a Golden Globe nod for an awful season like that (and probably an Emmy one too, but we will see that one yet), etc... Oh, and about TVD. It was a perfect piece of guilty pleasure in the first season. That continues with a small stretch of episodes at the beginning of the season two, but once the werewolves came up the series hit a wall and I'm still not completely convinced it recovered. Once they were done with the werewolves the show picked up. A lot! But I'm cautiously optimistic because The Originals might end up as a storyline too contrived.

I'm excited! Especially since I met Stephen Moyer last month, he was really nice. Last season had its up and downs. Not especially memorable since I hardly remember much about it, but this season looks great.

I absolutely can't wait. And Dennis O'Hare was a great villain. I hope he'll be back at some point.

Yeah, he needs to return a bit later. S5 sounds good. Maybe S4 finale too.

I'm loving Season 3. It's as good as the second, maybe even better. Only have four episodes left .

The first two episodes of season 4 were better than the entirety of season 3. Well done, HBO, I'm hooked again

 Re: True Blood | Season 4 | June 26th
Exceelent start so far. Only watched episode 1, but the biggest WTF has got to be Sam's brother with Hoyt's mom.
Glad they jumped a year in time, as technically Mary Ann was alive 2 weeks ago in the shows timeline.

The time jump was one of the best decisions this show has ever made.

 Re: True Blood | Season 4 | June 26th
http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/0 ... Numbers%29Quote: Sunday’s season premiere of True Blood didn’t quite set a record for viewing, but it was close with 5.424 million viewers. That’s just slightly behind the record 5.44 million viewers set in the penultimate episode of season three. I still haven’t seen the 18-49 numbers yet, but should see them shortly and will add them to this post. It's impressive that a show in its fourth season in today TV climate is able to nearly sets its series high... I hope S4 becomes the highest rated TB season.

And it's only in 30% percent of households! Very impressive.

2nd episode was pretty fantastic. Lovin' the big developments. Pace is crazy with this huge cast.

 Re: True Blood | Season 4 | June 26th
Quote: True Blood fell by about half, dropping to a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating and 2.9 million viewers versus last week’s 3.0 adults 18-49 rating and 5.42 million. Some will also chalk the drop up to the Sunday’s episode already being available for a week online via HBO Go. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/0 ... Numbers%29Rather ugly ratings this week. But I'd be interested to know how many people so it On-Demad. Third episode should be back on track.

Also HBO was free for that weekend of the first episode. That's how I caught it at least.

 Re: True Blood | Season 4 | June 26th
I finished Season 3 and thought it was great. It sucks having to wait a whole year to see the fourth season.
I think the biggest reason for the drop for the second episode was it being the July 4th weekend. Most networks didn't air new stuff that weekend.
