Yawn. :P

I hope there are a few surprises on the sub-Best Picture ten-film list (nlmgnlmgnlmgnlmg --or Hereafter, or The Way Back, which I haven't even seen yet, but it's Peter f-ing Weir).

Yawn? These are the first awards of the season lol. Just because The Social Network was awesome and recognized as such by many should not lead to complaining all season that it winning stuff is boring. I WILL NOT HAVE THIS. ;)

Not very impressive winners, IMO. I'm starting to think that THE FIGHTER has a good chance to take home Best Picture at the Oscars. It seems like a real crowd pleaser and is Bale picks up a lot of steam, I think it has a chance. Hopefully Amy Adams will be nominated for Best Supporting Actress too.

YAY FOR BALE AND WEAVER! :D

Lots of my favorite 2010 films received mentions--I see Animal Kingdom! Greenberg! Hereafter! Let Me In! The Town!--so I'm mostly pleased. No Never Let Me Go, of course. Boo. ;)

They snubbed the fuck out of Black Swan, The Kids Are All Right, and 127 Hours, though. :noway:

These nominations are ridiculous. YOUTH IN REVOLT? Really? That was honestly one of the absolute worst movies of the year and to choose that over BLACK SWAN, BLUE VALENTINE and THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT is ridiculous.

I can't believe Buried upset Inception, The Kids Are All Right, and The King's Speech in Original Screenplay. A :WTFISGOINGON: moment.

Nothing for BLUE VALENTINE or THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT? Cool for BURIED, but mostly these choices are lame ;). Kind of hard to take them seriously. How could YOUTH IN REVOLT be named one of the best indies of the year and not KIDS or BLUE VALENTINE?
