I think Avatar is so going to win the Oscars, it's undeniable now. Huge Box Office Takings and while has narrative shortcomings is definately an achievement worth awarding i think.

Now China is back with 2D. It seems that 170M china is a possibility which would very well mean that it will surpass France as the biggest market outside US.

I see another 90-100M weekend. That would mean that it will surpass Titanic overseas this weekend and Worldwide total as well.

I don't see that it will bounce in the coming weekends so 1.8B Overseas and 0.7B Domestic. 2.5B for sure now.

Drops below $8m for the first time but holding extremely well and to put things into perspective, is almost $20m more than the previous All-Time record mark.

Latest full 5 week gosses put Avatar at just under $80m, i've got no doubts in my mind that it will smash pass $100m before the end. This coming weekend is Australia Day weekend (Tuesday) which means alot of people (me included) will be taking Monday off work. It's going to register another $7m+ opening again which should give it close to $90m by Weekend 6. There's no way it won't make $10m from there on out even with school holidays over.

Can't say at the momment, i think there's about a 40% possibility....though will need to wait to see how well it performs after school holidays is over to get a real gauge. It's bound to gross $100m+ with $110m a possibility but will need at least AUD$115m to have a good shot.
