He was still unsure whether he was going Godard or Antonioni (with a hint of Bresson) up our collective asses. In terms of body of work that decade, Abbas Kiarostami, Hou Hsiao-hsien and even the late Krzysztof Kieślowski definitely surpassed him. And in terms of singular crowning achievements, Wong was no match to the likes of Pedro Costa, Artur Aristakisyan, Edward Yang, Aleksandr Sokurov and Béla Tarr. Yes, he reached "master" status this decade - into his own apotheosis in the pantheon of cinema. But he does not remain uncontested. This decade alone, there is David Lynch, Manoel de Oliveira, Hong Sang-soo, Michael Haneke, Jia Zhang-ke, Claire Denis and Apichatpong Weerasethakul.

 Re: James Cameron's One-Two Punch
It should get the 3rd and 4th weekend records with $10 mil to spare each...
But Titanic gets it the rest of the way.
But this run will be phenomenal to follow, it's just beginning people!

 Re: James Cameron's One-Two Punch
Ok, it's obvious it's gonna beat ROTK, that's a no-brainer by now.
So, let's raise the stakes...
$642,993,860 DOWN $ 1,199,886,095 TO GO

Well either way it's probably not making less than $1.2B now.

But from your phrasing, I thought you were predicting $1.15B worldwide total for the film, and thought maybe you meant $1.5B. Because it'll be much loser to $1.5B.
