Re: The Avatar Prediction | Tracking Thread
So... I did some really conservative projections with a $56 million weekend next weekend (around a 25% drop) and drops of 35-40% for the rest of its run, with 20-25% late in its run. Somehow I have it at $459 million after 63 days, hitting $400 million in its 31th day.
I'm starting to wonder if I'm really being conservative.

I think you have to recalculate tomorrow as I think that AVATAR is underestimated by about $3m on Sunday...

Re: The Avatar Prediction | Tracking Thread
Decreasing the Sunday drop to 15.4% raised my projections to $474 million.

So... Avatar is at $212 mil after 2 weekends.
Let's project the weekends! 3rd- $57 mil (-25%) 4th- $37 mil (-35%) 5th- $24 mil (-35%) 6th- $16 mil (-35%) 7th- $10 mil (-35%) 8th-12th- $15 mil (-35% drops)
$142 mil JUST from weekends. $354 mil without M-TH grosses. $500+ mil is guaranteed.

I think sub 35% drops are guaranteed throughout the films run.

$142 mil JUST from weekends. $354 mil without M-TH grosses. $500+ mil is guaranteed. It's going to drop harder than 35% on its 4th weekend. Anything under 45% would be really good.
