Early ratings reports show that the fourth season premiere of The Lateshow was watched by an estimated 36.36 million people. The two-hour monster hit built in every half-hour as follows:
8:00 PM - 33.97 million
8:30 PM - 34.66 million
9:00 PM - 37.35 million
9:30 PM - 39.44 million
It settles in the 8 PM hour for the rest of the season. This marks only a 5% decline from its highest-rated episode, the third season finale (38.13 million from final ratings), making this the show's second most-watched telecast (duh!).
There are no ratings news from the other networks as of press time as they most likely got decimated by The Lateshow. Check back for the final chart and demo numbers late in the afternoon!
