I still do not understand why multiple entries of one artist must be avoided.

Re: Top 15 Albums of the 60s
PS, #10 and 11 are frustrating and hard to like...and I really doubt you've listened to Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison in its entirety (or even The Mamas and Papas CD).
Just sayin'...

Re: Top 15 Albums of the 60s
I'm not debating that the music you listed is good...I think it's good. I just doubt you listen to it.
and I doubt you've even listened to half the tracks in my thread. But if you want to stay stuck in the 60s...fine with me. Continue boasting about how Velvet Underground and Nico is your favorite album, but everyone knows that when you're alone, you're tuning into not VU, but old-school Celine Dion.
don't you have any guilty pleasures? Or do you seriously just listen to what the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tells you to? There's nothing personal about your list. I honestly thought your first "Top 10 of xx decade" post was a copy from Rolling Stone or some other music magazine, uncited. That's how ho-hum and standard it was.
Aaaaaand you also hate black people. There is nothing on your lists for the 60s or 90s...except Jimi and Dr. Dre. But Dr. Dre you only included for "diversity." If you truly listened to The Chronic, you'd see it as an embarassing affair that was pimptastic in 1992. But now? It's ridiculous.
So, in a nutshell. I can't stand 60s music purists anymore than I can stand the only-Britney/Mariah/Madonna/Rihanna-exclusive posters, either. You both have shitty taste because you're not open to anything.

Some people prefer maybe classic rock over motown

Re: Top 15 Albums of the 60s
I don't know nearly enough to make a top albums list for the 60's, but I'd say my favorite is Aretha's I Never Loved a Man the Way I Love You. Velvet Underground and Nico also, of course.

Nobody mentioned Love - Forever Changes yet. And Velvet Underground/Nico is not even their best.
What the fuck, guys?

Black people don't usually make great music.
