I just watched the second episode yesterday, and it was pretty good. Brian deserved to be eliminated, so I'm happy this week. It's pretty annoying how Danny "cleaned up" his act and started wearing suits. He should just stick with himself and get eliminated. Brian was a real pain too. He lied about everything in the board room after saying "I quit". Wow.

I sure know how to pick em. ](*,)

I'm glad Kendra left, she sucked.

As for Danny, it's no secret that he was a fav of mine. But two team failures, both in marketing, somewhere Danny should have shined. It was inexcusable.

I liked his boardroom decision. It almost worked.

His cab ride confession was by far the best in the history of the show.

Just like to add that I disagree with the cab ride confession. For me, the whole new-wave, hippie thing doesn't work (but that's just me).

Anyway, Trump made the right choice by cutting Danny. This is the third time in two weeks that his neck was on the chopping block, and, quite frankly, I think he's out of his depth with most of the people there.

And btw, did anyone else notice how Erin sometimes looks exactly like Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs?

It's probably just me. I like people who don't conform to society's norms.

Wow, I must be old. Who the fuck is Karen O?

Wait, I caught a Central Park concert on one of my HD channels last week. Ugly chick who sings Maps?

Oh god how I hate Michael, I can take consolation in the fact that Trump thinks he's terrible and there's a good chance he's not getting anywhere close to the finals. This is the problem with the exemption and why I wish they would take it out of the game. It happened last year too, exemptee's essentially coasted in thier week.

Verna quit! SHOCKING, only not so much. They built that up to be something much bigger than it was. But that's nothing new for this show. So Danny's gone, I was hoping their plan to get Michael non-exempt would work. It's not like Trump has broken the rules before, firing 2 people at once, no secondary board room...but I guess enough was enough last season. I can't be too upset about his firing though, he wasn't going to win and I couldn't stand his songs. I'm trying to think of people I like and can root for on this version....nope nothing's coming to me.

Bring on Martha!

I think I'm starting to warm up a bit to Erin. I mean, she looks like Karen O's sister, which totally rocks. She also displays the same boardroom savvy that Jen Massy had last season, except with waaaaay more moxy

At this point in the game (and it's still very early), my money is on either John (Net Worth), Bren (Magna), or Stephanie (Magna) to win the show. Bren is the quiet one, and since he does his part without getting into conflicts, the light might shine on him.

Great episode tonight. Magna's commercial was absolutely hilarious!

The right person was eliminated, though. She was too cocky. Good ideas (sometimes), but not a good leader.

Chris is officially insane. This is the second week he's blown up in the boardroom for no reason.

For the love of god George, don't ask that kid anymore questions. He yells and swears the first time, then the second, goes on a rant about homosexuals.

Fire him before it's too late.

Onto this week's show. I worked for both Leo Burnett and DDB as a consultant right after college so I know a bit about advertising and marketing. You can think too far out the box and that was the problem this week with Magna. They executioned a bad idea for the Dove ad, one that was cheeky and would have worked well in Europe but not the right branding for the US.

But Net Worth poorly executed a good idea, which is much worse in my book. Net Worth fired the right person. She had no reason to be behind the camera. Her boyfriend is a director.

I agree.

Magna's commercial was too out of the mainstream for a mass product like Dove. It's unfortunate that American audiences are too narrow-minded about the issue, but when you're in PR and marketing, you have to appeal to the mainstream. I mean, don't get me wrong, the commercial wasn't a masterpiece by any stretch of the word, but I really think that may be the reason why they didn't win (mind you, there wasn't much stopping them).

Now, if Magna's commercial was an example of an execution of bad taste, Net Worth's commercial was an example of, well, no execution. Seriously, if I had just tunned in at the end, I wouldn't even know what the joke was. At least Magna succeeded at what they set out to accomplish. To put it bluntly: it was a failure in every sense of the word. Trump made the right choice in firing that bitch (can't remember her name :???: ). She was a pretty bad leader, but seriously, did anyone at home question her when she told us that her team was hard to manage? I wouldn't want to manage Chris unless I had the right to beat him every time he opens his loud mouth.

Anyway, now that all of that is behind us, I must admit that one of the things this season has going for it is unpredictability. At least half the contestents seem mentally unstable, and both teams are so hit-and-miss that you never know how the challenges are going to turn out. I don't know about you guys, but I'm diggin' it.

There was a lot of "best boardroom ever" in the previews throughout last season.

This season though, it seems like the real deal. I never really know what to expect. Exempt people being brought in, others quitting, both teams being brought in, it's all pretty exciting.

Did I hear right? Did Trump ask Chris: "Are you a homosexual?"

That was a good episode, I think with some direction and a few tweaks like not using body wash on the face, Net Worth's ad could have been pulled off. Perhaps if they used a swimming pool or something, I'm not sure, but it was a lot more reworkable than the Cucumber Ad, which I'm still trying to grasp. That was worse than Apex 1984 police recruitment ad last year.

The personalities are indeed interesting this year, a bit more than last season, but still the tasks aren't doing it for me - I like more quantifiable stuff. Better than S2, so far weaker than S1

Chris is scary in the board room. No staying calm under pressure from him. I almost want him to make the interview stage and have to defend himself infront of Trump and Co. that would be some hilarious, yet frightening television.

Regarding the homosexual/Chris thing, does anyone know about one of the contestants sueing Donald Trump? I heard on the news that a contestant in this season's The Apprentice was sueing Donald Trump, but I forgot to actually watch the news and find out who it was. Anyone know? It may be Chris, because of what Trump said. In actuallity, Chris could sue Trump for that remark.

No one from the show. It's a discrimation lawsuit from a potential contestant who is in a wheelchair.

That may have been the first practical task ever on the show.

I loved it.

I agree, for once there wasn't a BIG company and they finally had to actually use their brain. Great task, and great outcome.

Visa is a HUGE company, made all the bigger by my dvd obsession.

But you see Cotton, the task wasn't for Visa. It was to create an upstart company. A task very very different than what's been assigned in the past.

This last task reminded me of the better days of S1. Lots of room to be creative with it and one with tangable results. No "I think this group had the better idea" which I've grown to dislike.

This CarolynLite didn't impress me, to be fair neither do all the NotGeorges. I hope she's back next week. The boardroom wasn't terribly exciting, I got the feeling that Trump fired Mike for not choosing to bash Stephanie instead of Bren, when there was a whole slew of reasons for Mike to be fired. A lot of them going back to the Nescafe task.

Tonight's episode was interesting. I do think the right person was eliminated, and the right team was picked. Their work was very "uncreative" compared to the other team. While the other team tried a little too hard to act "gangsta", it paid off with their impressive piece. I liked the hand holding the money. That was impressive. Both looked good, but Net Worth's was kind of.. dull. As for the elimination, I do think she should be eliminated. She didn't do a great job as team leader. She took all credit for the work. She couldn't control the wild Audrey and her conflict with Craig (who talked for like the first time in the show).

And, when Brent was takin' pictures with those four hot girls, I laughed my ass off.

Good episode. I can't wait for next week. It looks to be a good one.

I kind of feel bad for Tara, I mean, she seems great, but it just goes to show if you screw up at the wrong place at the wrong time, Trump'll toss ya

Anyway, as for the task, I think Magna did a better job in the sense that thier graffiti mural was more eye-catching and depicted the game in a more accurate light. Net Worth's was kind of dull, and just sort of faded in with the background (waaay too much gray).

And, on a side note, I'm praying for Carolyn to return next week
