You're all ridiculous. What Nolan was clearly showing was that the pencil is mightier than the sword.

 Re: The Dark Knight
The choice of petrol barrels to kill Rachel and Harvey served to signify the real danger oil prices do to our own economic health and well being.
And the joker burning his share of the money served as a metaphor of the way the American dollar is losing all its value compared to the Euro "burning up" as it where.

I laughed ...I can't believe after tonight I saw that movie three damn times and not once did I pick up that the sketchy guy driving the armored car was Gordon. Every time I kept thinking to myself "now why the hell do they make this guy so sketchy and then do nothing with him!?" That part really does make the movie a lot better for me, I had a big problem with that. Ok, and is it just me, or does Batman's mask look really lousy in one of his first scenes when he's talking to Gordon at the bank? Like it doesn't fit Bale's face at all or something. Cillian Murphy is definitely back in a bigger role next film I think. He's gotten the snub two times in a row on purpose I feel; not much in this new franchise has been done on accident. I think Two-Face is coming back.

I think it would be soooo awesome if Murphy came back and play Scarecrow so insane and crazy. Not like Joker but just a insane person

A wig, and a pistol.
Any Chicagoans get a funny reaction when watching the movie? I recognized almost all the locations.

I recognized almost all the locations. yup. pretty much recognized all locations. it kinda sorta takes away from the Gotham as a fictional city in some ways ya know. But then in other ways, it makes the movie more real because I can imagine those things happening at those locations.

I wonder how many tourists are asking where the Batman tunnels are. Quote: Oh, and I just realized something: The very first shot we ever saw of TDK....was the last shot. The first shot in the trailer shown in December I believe is the last shot in the movie. Fucking missed that. I remember now. Good memory.

Magnus wrote: I've been hearing a lot of mainstream complain a bit that there isn't enough Batman in this. I have a feeling that a lot of people complaining of this probably never saw Batman Begins.
I think Batman Begins did such a fantastic job of focusing on Bruce Wayne/Batman that in TDK, the film didn't have to focus on him so much. It had spent 2 hrs and 20 min in the previous one establishing the charecter that this time around they didn't have to spend any time establishing the charecter, while for charecters like Joker and Dent who were new, they had to give some time establishing.
Oh, and I just realized something: The very first shot we ever saw of TDK....was the last shot. The first shot in the trailer shown in December I believe is the last shot in the movie. Fucking missed that. Pretty kewl eh, I was wondering when the shot would show up during the film on my first viewing. Those complaining about the lack of Bruce/Batman should most definitely check out BB if they have not viewed the masterpiece yet.
