Lets discuss the philosophical impact this will have!

The movie really expands on what a hero really is.

A hero is not only a good guy who beats up bad buys. It is selfless man who does anything to protect whatever he/she is protecting.

Like when Batman said, I will be what Gotham needs me to be, even the bad guy.

It was a very deep line.

We know expect comic book films to have much more complicated hero's and villains.

IM was a good start...

imo the 4 main guys were all solid.

Batman/Bruce
Joker
Gordon
Harvey/Two Face.

The thing about the film from 4 people you get 6 different characters.

However they gave great performances and really brought the acting in the film to a whole new level.

Who was defending it? The world knew the film was terrible from the outset.

Re-read the Spidey 3 review thread to relive the horror!

I posted in that thread! I read it throughout. I remember vividly that most people hated the film, with reason.

The film was tripe, I remember many angrily expressing such sentiments.

I'd rather watch the dancing scene again than anything else in that movie. I mean it was ridiculous, but at least it was kind of entertaining and had some life in a campy sort of way.

The rest was just illogical drab.

no doubt, the last 15-25 minutes are lower than F territory and unforgivable.

I am doing that just now.

The funniest parts are everyone listing the hilariously bad stuff they noticed. Like the amnesia. And the newscaster. And the motherfucking butler.

I feel like rewatching SM3, Batman and Robin, and The Quest for Peace in one sitting and deciding which one fails most.

I watched a bit of B&R on TV on the weekend and I think it's by far the best of that trio, if only because it doesn't try to be anymore than it is, and indeed it's perfect at what it is. I think it's better than Forever.

SM3 Shack. When I was at's Roo's we made the mistake of rewatching SM3, we only lasted an hour.

LOL, what were you thinking, rewatching the film is inviting 2.5 hours of torture.

The Quest for Peace is easily the most epic fail of the three.

Its got issues, the Hong Kong section wasn't really needed and could have been compacted, plus I fail to see how the joker got so much explosive into a hospital without anyone noticing but beyond that the action is solid, the direction tight and everyone gives great performances.

Oh and I love a downer ending.

There is a lot about how the Joker does things that really goes unanswered. but the movie does suggest that he recruited not only mobsters but also prisoners from the insane asylum (forget its name). Unlike Batman '89, Nolan clearly didn't want to surround the Joker with "clowns." It's effective.

One of the things I noticed on my third viewing: how does Bruce Wayne get a batman uniform so quickly at the fundraiser that the Joker crashes?
