Re: Groundhog Day
I agree that Andie MacDowell is generally unappealing, but that doesn't change the fact that this is one of the smartest, funniest, and warmest comedies of the 90s. A great film all around.

A great film all around. Agreed on all counts. I've never understood the appeal Andie MacDowell had for all of these filmmakers in the 90s. She's very blah. Four Weddings and a Funeral is already one of my favorites, but I wonder if it could've been even better with someone more charismatic in her role.

Apparently she rarely wore makeup and was just a natural who looked like a normal woman.

Re: Groundhog Day
Definitely one of my five favorite films of all time. Rewatched it on Groundhog Day. Certainly has yet to lose any of its appeal for me. All around terrific.
A+

Re: Groundhog Day
Re-watched it since a long time and greatly enjoyed. It's quite the fantastic film actually, funny and witty and very feel good all around. Murray is just aces his character and the concept while not unique anymore has not been done better since. The film has a nice attention to detail and it feels there was a patience to making it that seem harder to find in films nowadays. Groundhog Day is a very good time, every time.
