45. Million Dollar Baby

Such a sad movie, but that's why I like it. And it's even sports related!! (even if just barely really). Swank gives a marvolous performance (but she gives an even better one later on), and I tear up each and everytime. While I'm not much of an Eastwood fan, the scene where he is talking to the pastor about pulling the plug is one of my favorite moments of the film.

44. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Better than Prisoner of Azkaban? Well, I like them pretty much the same, but I have to rank Goblet higher because I like the story just a little more, the book more, and because Voldemort returns. And since the changes were already made in Prisoner of Azkaban, I was able to... I guess accept Goblet of Fire easier than I did Prisoner of Azkaban at first. Plus, this has Miranda Richarson, a favorite.

43. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

The assault will soon begin. The film, had it failed, would have never given me later Walt Disney works. But thankfully it was a beast. :D And deservingly so. This was probably like the Toy Story of it's time. Classic, childhood favorite (I hate saying that...so I wont anymore) it's one of my favorites, not just a childhood favoritie. Shame to all who disregard their childhood as being second best. :disgust:

42. Cinderella

Another Disney Classic, so I of course love it. Who doesn't love Cinderella? Such a thing is like.... just wrong! I give this the edge over Snow White because I liked the songs more.

41. Grease

"You're the one that I want(You are the one I want) oh oh oh honey
You're the one that I want(You are the one I want) oh oh oh honey
You're the one that I want(You are the one I want) oh oh oh honey
The one that I neeeeeed oh yes indee-ee-heed"

It's Grease... These loose re-tellings of Romeo and Juliet are going to live on forever. The story has produced some of the biggest films ever, and it's because we all love them. Especially us.

40. Brokeback Mountain

One of the best love stories (films) for quite some time. And Ledger's performance is amazing, more so than Gyllenhaal because he doesn't accept it at first and fights it, so that gives his performance that extra needed bump to make the performance truely great. Gyllenhaal was great of course too, as was Michelle Williams. Very touching movie, and it's TERRIBLE this didn't win Best Picture.

It was on one of the premium movie channels tonight (Ive never seen it on, so maybe it premiered this weekend or something), and I caught the last 30 minutes of it. Freaks me out still. Though the televised version has the meh ending.

Yea the truncated ending is not great I'd agree.

I'd argue the movie was way more frightening in the first hour than the last 30 minutes.

If The Descent ended with the girls just getting stuck in the cave and dieing, it would've been the scariest movie ever. It's still an above average horror film, but yeah, wasn't a fan of the monsters.

It was a weird situation for me. Knowing that there was something down there, or at least thinking there was, but not getting a clear view of it, the movie was rather terrifying. Which was like the entire first hour. But once the creatures started to get more screen time it turned into, not an entirely typical horror movie, but it went for shock scares, which I can usually see coming a mile away. So it wasn't nearly as affective.

39. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

I like OOTP just as much as POA and GOF, but I'm ranking it higher because if I ask myself which Potter do I want to see today, it's almost always OOTP.

38. Ghost

Very sad, yet uplifting movie. Whoopi Goldberg is hilarious, my second performance by her, and favorite performance in Ghost. Another big tear jerker.

36. Stardust

Somewhat surprised I've ranked Stardust this high, but I love it every single time I watch it, and it just doesn't feel old. Claire Danes is great, and adorable in her role. Pfeiffer is one of my favorite actresses, and I loved her in this. Not a big De Niro fan, but once he does the Can-Can I couldnt help but like him. :funny: He probably had so much fun doing it. The score is also very, very good. Major plus.

35. Sleeping Beauty

Yet another Disney Classic. The animation in this film really sticks out to me (I think they filmed it on something, or with something, that was being discontinued or was a new techinque, I don't remember). And having the only pure evil villian of all the Disney Classics is great, and Maleficent remains one of my all time favorite Disney Villians.

34. Who Framed Roger Rabbit

What a crazy mix of live-action and animation, with a more adult theme. Well, adult undertones at least. And I fell in love with it. The crazy guy always freaked my out at the end with his eyes. :zonks:

33. Finding Nemo

My favorite Pixar film, and it's going to be quite unlikely that will ever change, at least not anytime soon. The setting gives it the edge against the other Pixar films because I love the water. And then there's Dorey. :D Something every other Pixar film is missing.

32. The Neverending Story

Another favorite growing up. Which I've noticed greatly overshadows films Ive seen in the past...6 years or so, and older ones (before I was born). I'm guessing it's because I refuse to lower the importance of these films. The Neverending Story is wonderful, and has one of the biggest tear jerkets ever! When Artax is taken by the quick-mud?/sadness. :( Especially when the camera focuses in on his face while he's sinking. :( And the damn wolf! Nightmare after Nightmare. I'd hide my face in the couch when his scene at the end came on with him talking out of the cave.

31. Gladiator

Along with The Princess Bride, the local Library has given me two big favorites. Gladiator being the second one. This used to rank really high on my list (though I never had an actual list, just ranked a top 20 or so in my head). But after watching it more, it hasn't really left me astounded. Love it, but not as much as I once did.
