84. Toy Story

I lied about Ratatouille being my second favorite Pixar film. Toy Story actually is (it's late, so I forgot, forgive me). Revolutionaty film, that has helped spawn some great film, but unfortunately a massive amount of junk too. Not to mentioned it helped kill off traditional animation. :( All time favorite.

81. Dirty Dancing

Awww, how I long to visit a country club and find the man of my dreams waiting there for me. I should be able to at least live with half of that if Zac Efron gets cast in the remake! Love this movie.

80. Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unforunate Events

What I love most about this film is the look and feel. It's absolutely perfect. Love the cast, all the supporting roles were good, Aiken and Browning (they need new work!) were great, as was Carrey if he wasnt over the top just a bit. And no talk of sequels for this is terrible. :disgust:

All for tonight. I'll probably go in increments of 20, so I should be finished WED.

Nope. If I have time, maybe this summer, I'd like to read them and the Spiderwick books.

79. Kill Bill Vol.2

I'm with jujubee on the Kill Bill series. I like Vol.1 more than Vol.2. Vol.2 Feels like a more complete film and is probably better as individual films, but Vol. 1 is more fun to watch, and I too like the soundtrack better. *waits for The Whole Bloody Affair*

77. Batman Returns

My favorite superhero film, and the only one on my list. Batman almost made it, but I decided to cut it. Love the atmosphere of this one more, and how so much character development is given to the villians rather than Batman.

But good call on Kill Bill and Terminator 2.

76. The Devil Wears Prada

Big surprise from 2006. It became one of my favorites from a weak 2006 (for me), and has grown on me each time I watch it.

75. House of Flying Daggers

Yimou is amazing. One of my favorite directors, and I love this film. Ziyi Zhang, from just 2004/2005 has become on of my favorite actresses, and I can say the same about Gong Li. The film is beautiful, love the score, and the ending is amazing.

74. Coal Miner's Daughter

One of the films I grew up watching, and it's a great movie. Sissy Spacek really shines here, and Tommy Lee Jones is also good.

Cept for Charlie, Lemony, and Prada, good list so far. Can't blame you for those 3 either, I expected it.

73. The Princess Bride

How could somebody possibly not like this film? I first saw this by borrowing it from the library (I also did this with Gladiator too), and I LOVED it. Adorable, funny, and it really is a gem.

I have always maintained that anyone who doesn't like The Princess Bride is an inhuman monster with no soul.

I never would have thought I'd meet one.

I don't want to single anyone out... but damn it Yoshue, you are an inhuman monster with no soul!!

72. Memoirs of a Geisha

I think critics must have taken some crazy pills before or during their review for this. Although, I would have liked it to have been a foriegn film and done in japanese instead. Love the cast, Zhang, Li, Yeoh, and Watanabe. Gorgeous film, that I felt the story and emotion matched it despite being slammed by critics.

Another personal favorite of mine. And it's unlikley to ever change.

70. Children of Men

One of the biggest highlights from 2006. I'm not a big Clive Owen fan, mainly because I find his performances almost the exact same in every movie, and he has very little depth. But I was able to tolerate him in this, and probably liked him a little bit. The film looks great, has great performances, cinematography is nice, and I like the story. Ignored at the Oscars!? Hmm.

Princess Bride is in my top 10

I kind of like Geisha too by the way. It's not in my favorites or anything, but it's a solid catfighting asian girls movie. Certainly better than the critics reaction.

69. The Shining

One of my all time favorite horror films. And it's so simple, but it really works. Simple is the key for horror films in my opinion. No complex storylines please. Keeping it quite simplistic can work so much better. Nicholson, as Im sure has already been said 101928 times, is perfect.
