Though I do feel that unlike Positive Jon, you're more engaged in what you watch, feel the need to maybe even discuss it more (maybe not on the forum) and definetely provide your own feedback. While you may pick up on just about everything Positive Jon would, you are inclined to explore themes more deeply.

However, you refrain from nerdy behavior and know who to share it with.

No. It is not as bad as it sounds. Much like Corpse who seems to enjoy a film solely based upon the knowledge of the people involved and nothing more (which btw, is my opinion, that i have already stated), the same goes for you. Whether you believe it or not, every project involving someone you enjoy (and yes, Garner is being fingered here, though nor sexually, though it would eb nice to get that close) is not only automatically "ON THE LIST TO WATCH" but praised and upon viewing, is spun in the justification in such a way that makes me go 'yea right'.

So where does the know it all comes. It comes with the comparisons. it comes with the justifications. it comes with the hype build up. and its fucking annoying.

however, this same attitude, is actually quite pleasant when you do not have a vested interest in a project. there are certain types of films you don't like and you avoid them and don't spend time bitching about them which i respect. but films you are interested in, or indifferent to, or have no agenda against, your opinion makes a whole lot more entertaining a post to read because you're not trying hard in them to convince anyone of anything. you use the same 'know it all attitide' to instead, justify your feelings towards the film, which says a whole lot more about the film.

I consider you a filmgoer who 'tries' to convince himself he enjoyed, disliked or was indifferent to a film. Which is why turds such as Sahara slip through and why you sound unconvincing about mediocre pieces of production such as Sweeney Todd.

There is only one time when reading your comments on anything is interesting. When you haven't decided 2 years in advance about your feelings on something. Not a bad thing again cause 85% of the time, thats not the case.

But man, is that last 15% annoying as hell. You have liked and disliked a film years in advance (I believe in 1992, Dreamers had already received an A+) irregardless of how good a movie is, how bad a movie is, your viewpoint will not change on it. Never. Like ever! Unless you first lose your bias.

And you'll go out and see everything. You live movies, you shit movies, you piss on movies and you masterbate to Life Is Wonderful. If you had to decide between watching extended editions of FOTR and TTT and regular ROTK with the cast once as opposed to fucking the new hot model each day, you would choose LOTR.

I'll take one.

You love what you like. You hate what you dislike. You have an opinion. Its evident you wish to share it. You're not an idiot about watching films. You watch them for your enjoyment mostly.
However, you do not take a disagreement on film watching experiences well. At the same time, while you may complain, I don't seem to think anyone notices. yea ... you'll get the reply. And it might even be an offensive reply. And you may follow up. But it sounds like you whimper away in an almost "But I Liked It" manner.

Grow some balls. Or keep your needs to discuss to yourself. You may watch movies for yourself but its evident that you also want a shared experience .. not an isolated one. You come off as someone who would prefer watching a film with a group cause discussing a film after matters. Don't back away if how you felt wasn't the popular opinion.
