Al Pacino, The Godfather (1972)

A little odd combination, but that shows the strength of The Godfather series, at least the first two.

What do you mean with odd combination? Pacino and Swanson?

I associate Pacino more with Part II. It's as if nominating Brando for Part II instead of the first one.

To conclude the bottom half:

#51
Malcolm McDowell, A Clockwork Orange (1971)

oh come on. 30 spots higher than his Rain Man performance just because he plays in drag? What's in the top 10: Robin Williams for Mrs. Doubtfire?

Pretty great list so far, despite the huhs for Sacha, Christopher Lloyd, and even Kidman in MR who even though I love that movie and performance, top 50, really.

Nice to see Baxter and Brando in Streetcar showup, though they wouldve been higher for me. Love the Stewart love too, one of my faves for sure.

And McKellen, poor choice but expected.

Great performance. I think the best of his career.

What is wrong with his performance, other than the fact that it is in Lord of the Rings?

though I probably wouldn't have it this high if I had submitted a ballot.
