The Inside...is that good for a summer replacement show? I hope it does well. It deserves it.

I don't think so.
North Shore premiered in the summer (I think) with similar numbers and quickly got the axe.

It's not good, but it increased a lot from its lead-in (a Stacked repeat), so the future may be mildly bright. We'll know in a few weeks if it's doing well or not.

Yes. I don't understand how that show can do so well.
Lost had a pretty big drop from last week, but that's understandable since it's hard for people to start watching if they haven't seen the first episode.

Apparenltly people ignored my last post about "Dancing with Stars" and are still puzzled as to why its such a hit.

A second season is almost a gurantee with these ratings. It could have its first season extended or have a mid-season return in the regular season or just come back next summer.

With those ratings, expect that second season even sooner. And I think they only ordered six episodes to begin with, so this one will be over soon anyway.

What's the big deal? I watched it, and I find it to be summer entertainment. 14.85 million others agree. I like the host, I like how I'm able to root for someone (go Peterman!), and I like how it's not a long investment of time. A second season may be in order for this summer, but only six episodes. Don't add stars, and don't add episodes, ABC. Make this STRICTLY a summer show. It's so tragic that the networks haven't figured out that 90% of reality shows belong in the summertime, and only established hits should venture into the regular season. Why do you think Big Brother has been so successful in five seasons (the sixth airing in July)? The networks are so dumb.

Hey, I watched it again, and I think the reason that it is so successful is that it is being well slotted and the show, when you think about it, is rather unique in terms of reality shows. Not as generic as the onslaught of reality shows that come out. The show is actually pretty interesting, and the best part are the hardass judges who are very hard to impress and don't just give everyone "good marks" out of pity (the first week had a paltry high score of 7 out of 10 and a low of 4 out of 10). It's also interesting seeing the stars struggle with dancing or get frustrated.
PEACE, Mike
