$7 a month with 4K.

Shows that were announced:

Falcon and Winter Soldier
WandaVision
Loki
Hawkeye
Marvel’s What If? (Animated show about alternative histories)

The Mandalorian
Clone Wars

Monsters At Work (with Billy Crystal and John Goodman)

And any R-rated material will now go to Hulu. I bet there will be a bundle for $10-$12 somewhere down the road.

Imma go ahead and purchase the yearly plan $69.99. So much old & new contents it’s worth it.
The biggest news was Jeff Goldblum new docu series “The World According to Jeff Goldblum” :D for Nat Geo.

I was hoping they would just roll Hulu and rebrand it but Disney is great at getting double dippers.

Youtube 9.99
Hulu 11.99
Netflix 12.99
Amazon Prime 12.99/119
Amazon Music 14.99
HBO Now 14.99 only for game of thrones for now
CBS 9.99 only to catch up on discovery and twilight zone for now

Yeah, the prices are ridiculously cheap, I wonder how long it'll take before they up it to Netflix prices.

Will definitely do the year plan though.

Simpsons might be worth it alone, for all the classics we rarely see any more and for the newer episodes no one has actually watched.

I'll probably get it just for the Love, Simon series whenever that debuts.

Disney has their brand to think about, but it's a shame they aren't keeping any R-rated material. Actually, what R-rated material do they even have? Just the stuff they bought from Fox and others?

Looks like the launch lineup may be weaker than expected. Releasing Endgame a month after is fine, you want time for a few updates before the servers get crushed. Only four confirmed Marvel movies though (Iron Man, Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Captain Marvel)? Seems like managing the rights is more complicated than anticipated.

Good news: All Pixar besides TS4, all Star Wars besides TLJ and Solo and all Simpsons.

Hhm I want new content, not a bunch of old content that I will feel like I have to force myself to watch. The only two things interesting me on that specific list:

The Mandalorian
The World According to Jeff Goldblum

Then whenever that Love Simon series appears and that seems to be maybe 2020 I guess since they only just announced the first cast member in June from what I just read.

Um... I'm sure it'll only improve, but I can't say I'll need to subscribe day one like I planned.

Shouldn't all Disney films be available? Or will they just toss them out here and there. Will the Disney Vault swallow some up to make room for others?

Too many questions.

Apparently, in 2026, they will also temporarily lose the license for all films they put out in the years 2016,2017 and 2018. Yikes!

Once again, I know they need to test out the tech first, but alot of people were looking at this as the exclusive place to have all the MCU films. Knowing that won’t happen for awhile, if ever, is kind of a deal-breaker for a monthly service. If I buy End Game on itunes next week there will be no real reason to get this until Falcon and The Winter Soldier launches next fall.

For sure. And just look at the other streaming services. DC Universe is struggling, and that includes a TON of comics, a ton of superhero movies, and 3 terrific original shows. Amazon has a few shows I guess? But those are all included in a Prime membership, so whatever they don't really care about their streaming content. Hulu built up a large base when their stuff was very cheap/free. And they barely have any original stuff.

Netflix is a monster. They release original shows/movies all the time. It's going to be hard to compete with that. And if Disney starts increasing the cost of it, that will give Netflix the room to increase their price again.

No Hunchback of Notre Dame?

There's no excuse for not having at least their entire catalog of animated films available.

Totally agree. I assumed this would be their film library, at least a vast majority. And what about Fox? I figured there would be more Fox options as well, besides The Simpsons.

I can’t believe none of the Marvel shows will be ready at launch. Not even one. And there are Disney movies on Netflix now. They won’t be on Disney +?

It's too bad all these companies got way too greedy and decided to all start their own streaming services because it has worked so well for Netflix, and even they seem to come up in the news as posting major losses? How do Hulu, Amazon Prime and some of the others do? Disney will start its own, NBC has one coming, HBO, CBS All Access, etc etc. If you want a bit of everything, it's costing more now than anything else. And no one besides Netflix is boasting a strong enough lineup to get me to pay.

Yeah you’re basically getting ESPN for free. Will be a great deal once D+ fills out their library.
