So Grey's has been renewed for 16 and 17th seasons? What are the odds it manages to hit 20 seasons?

Constance Wu's meltdown over the FOTB renewal is hilarious.

I get both sides of it. Yeah it's super shitty to bite the hand that's fed you for five years and made your name a name, shit on every person dependent on that job, and sound ungrateful for something 95% of those who act would kill for.
On the reverse end, it's a job, and I have a job right now many would love to have, but I also find myself dissatisfied and wanting things to be my way, wanting more, wanting to be happy. Just because she has it good, doesn't mean she can't want more. Did she handle it badly? Oh yeah. Airing your grievances like a child on social media looks bad. It was a tantrum. But I still get it.

Re: The Renewal and Cancellation thread 2018-2019
I find it difficult getting attached to too many shows now that aren't established and successful. It's hard getting into something and watching it get cancelled. Yesterday, ABC cancelled what I think is one of the best sitcoms I've seen in a long time in The Kids Are Alright. So beyond disappointed to see it go. And probably one of the few tough cancellations I've seen that I think could have been easily avoided since it should have been a hit. Don't know how it wasn't.
But they renewed the loud American Housewife, mediocre Single Parents, way-beyond-its-prime Modern Family, and the criminally-uneven Black-ish.

The Good Place will be ending after season 4. Three of my five favorite shows will now have ended this year after Kimmy and Thrones.

But it's not a bad thing. The Good Place is the type of show that needs to end at the right time before it hits that "It's a great show, but it loses some steam around Season 5" moment.

Re: The Renewal and Cancellation thread 2018-2019
Yeah I'm a fan of the show but think, if 4 seasons is how they envisioned it, that ending it now is probably for the best. Don't want it to drag on and get tired. That's why so many similar shows I've never finished (30 Rock, Parks & Rec, The Office). Loved them at one point. Still need to try and get back into them again and finish them. I just got a bit bored with them. Not that they were bad when I stopped. I've managed to keep up with The Good Place and would hate to ever fall behind because it overstayed its welcome. And with Kristen free maybe we will get more Veronica Mars even sooner which sounds like a good thing to me. I doubt she's without a TV show long though. She doesn't stay without a TV gig for long.
