Anyone watching the finale tonight? I thought I would start a thread for discussion since there isn't a thread for the show. It airs at 8 and is two hours. I'm already a big fan of the show, but it'll be interesting to see what Quentin does with it. |

That was the best CSI episode I have seen. Blew me away. It was fantastic. I applaud Tarantino and the whole cast. |

I didn't know it was tonight and forgot to put it to record as I went to see the Sith. I've never watched a CSI episode but I wanted to catch Tarrantino's episode. Anyone think ratings will be affected by Star Wars. I certainly do, even if it minimal or say even 1 million viewers. There will probably be about 2 million people at the theatres for Revenge if the Sith tonight. Anyone have viewrship ratings for last year's CSI finale? |

The first 80 minutes were fantastic. I don't know... it just seemed a little off during the last 40 minutes. I also thought it was supposed to be concluded next season, so I'm assuming that they were originally going to air the first hour as the finale, and the second hour as the season premiere next season, but I might be wrong. Definitely an excellent episode, but it seemed a little anticlimatic or something... I don't know for sure, but something seemed off during the second hour, towards the end. |

I am glad it wasn't a cliffending episode - I am glad that it ended. But they did leave you with something. He wants his team back. I have said it all year that I didn't like this season because of that team break-up and hopefully it will be over next year. ******************************* Also, as I didn't watch the earlier episodes, I expected more confrontation with the new head guy - Conrad - but he was a non-event through most of this tv year. ************************************** |

I've never watched CSI before and everyone always tells me how much I'll enjoy the show. It was great, are all the episodes as good? QT did a great job (slightly better than his ER stint). What I loved most was that it had QT's flair but from what I know about the show via ads, it still retained the shape and style of a CSI episode. A certain film franchise could learn a valuable lesson here about allowing QT to direct established entities. |

That was freaking awesome. Not just awesome, but freaking awesome. That was amazing. Wow. I loved it, a lot. It had the usual CSI flair, with an easily seen Tarantino influence. And I thought that was one of the coolest CSI screenplays yet. The show was slick and cool, and amazingly resonated emotionally. This amazing finale just confirms why I love the whole show so bloody much. I still maintain that this is the BEST show on TV. That's just me. PEACE, Mike ![]() |

MikeQ. wrote: Valley Guy 3.0 wrote:  It had amazing ratings! Where where where?!?!? I don't see a ratings thread. What were the ratings!? I'm dying to know... PEACE, Mike ![]() Snippet from zap2it: CBS scored a 9.2 rating among adults 18-49, pounding NBC's 6.1 rating in the key demographic for both networks. FOX was third again with a 3.7 rating. ABC's 2.1 rating was far back, but still ahead of the 1.5 rating for UPN and The WB's 1.1 rating. The first hour of the Tarantino-directed "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" finale began relatively slowly with a 16.1/28 for the 8 p.m. hour. NBC was second with an underwhelming 5.9/10 for "Will & Grace." The season's last hurrah for "The O.C." was third on FOX with a 4.9/8. ABC's NBA playoffs coverage was fourth. UPN was fifth with "WWE Smackdown!," which beat the 1.8/3 for two episodes of "Blue Collar TV" on The WB. In its second hour, "CSI" exploded with a 20.3/31, completing what will probably be a record breaking night for the drama. Viewers showed only tepid interest (9.1/14) in watching Kendra win the third season of "The Apprentice" on NBC. FOX better-than-normal Thursday numbers from a best-of-the-worst "American Idol" (5.8/9) special. ABC's baseball was in fourth with a 3.5/5, better than the 2.9/5 for "Smackdown!" on UPN. An encore of The WB's Jeff Foxworthy special was sixth. Full article: http://tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve_ma ... 1|,00.html WOW for the second hour!!! |

edit - beat me to it you did this was the best episode of any show this year, hands down. I haven't watched enough CSI to determine if it was the best episode ever, but I hear it was. |

Wow, what an awesome finale!! I loved every bit of it. So much better than the awlful ER finale. And look at those ratings! The 16.1 was good to begin with, and I'm sure many people (Like Squee) didn't know it was 2 hours. But look at the 9 o'clock hour. Just wow. |

Judging by that and Raymond's numbers (20.2/29 ~33 million) on Monday, I'm pretty confident Desperate Housewives could get up to 31-33 million viewers with around an 18-19/30 rating. |

One big QT touch was the ending with the dream-like scene which went to black & white with the doctors acting like he was dead and they were joking and laughing as they were ripping apart his body. |

I found an Article on Yahoo! that said it got 30.1 million viewers for the whole 2 hours, peaking in it's final half-hour to over 35 million. ![]() |

Loved it, and the "dream" sequence had Tarrintino's signature all over it. Anyway, to answer your question Loyal, no, most of the episodes arent this good. In fact, this is the most emotionally involving and best episode of the show. Doesnt mean the rest of the episodes arent good, just that this episode was great. Of course, this is just my opinion, and I missed the first hour. (2nd hour blew me away, though) |

Did we have to know alot about the show to follow some of the story in the finale or was it a stand alone episode. And also, does anyone know if and when it will repeat anytime soon? |
