Is no one interested in this show anymore?

I enjoyed the first hour of the show then popped over to Modern Family for the special episode. I really enjoyed alot of the performers. The first guy they did was this 17 year old short black kid who had a wonderful singing voice that contrasted against his speaking voice. He stood out to me. They are still doing human interest stories for certain auditioners and there wasn't as many jokey contestants shown this time. They didn't appear to change much of the formula from last season so it's probably just more of the same although there did seem to be alot of 15-17 year olds being shown.

I'm going to watch the premiere but I haven't really followed this show since the Kris Allen season. I prefer "The Voice" immensely in terms of quality and "The X-Factor" solely because of how ridiculous it is.

Meh, this isn't my thing anymore. The other singing shows are better.

Also, why is every contestant like 15 years old now? Makes me feel old :P

Well, I thought the XFactor really had a poor choice of talent on display and the whole groups idea was just not a good thing imo. As for the Voice, the best thing I like about that show is the high profile artists they bring in to help coach and the "blind" auditions. I did not like the gimmicky sing offs. I'd rather each contestant since a song then after they are All finished their mentor has to decide who stays and goes. That'd be a better way to do that part of the show.

Missed the premiere. Just TOO MUCH else on. I couldn't get away from anything else.

One thing I like about idol is that for the most they really do pick excellent singers during the audition round. It's when they get to the top 12 where they have really fudged it over the years. Chicken neck , red head, Scotty , screecher (the guy who played Bass) blind person .

I like the sound from the Wolf. I think his name was James or John Hamlin. Problem is he could be anywhere from 29-42 but he's 24.

His rendition of Fulsom Prison Blues was awesome!

The auditions have been very boring so far. I don't care about good singers. Especially not when they botch the final picks later one. Only makes their selection look weak and sad. I want to see the weird and funny ones in these rounds.

They were playing a few clips on the radio where Randy and Tyler weren't agreeing with her on a couple of her choices which made her act a bit flabbergasted. Then the final clip had some lady being a bit over the top with a song and Tyler was all over that while J.Lo was wondering if she was in the twilight zone.

I saw that. My comment was the conclusion that in each and every case J.Lo was right which was weird as I'd expect both Tyler and Randy to at least know good stuff when they hear it.

AI hit a new low. They're using poor girl who collapsed as a cliffhanger to promote the next episode?

I tried watching last night but I kind of just want to see them get to the top 24 already.

There were some I thought were okay but I wasn't happy about them re-cutting a guy who came back from last year. At least let him get to where he's in one of the 4 rooms and Then cut him. I thought that was a bit cold.

No one stood out to me from last night though.

I like that the judges just sat there after she fell. Randy did a courtesy peek to see what was happening.

This is what bugs me right now. I know it's almost over but can they allow more song choices. I'm sick of hearing the same fing songs over and over. It's like freaking ice skating and hearing skaters skate to the same shit every year .

This feels like I'm watching the boys and girls groups on xfactor. It's almost nothing but teen singers.

I'm glad crazy cowboy didn't make it.

Love that Phil Phillips made it. He has turned out to be my favorite during these Hollywood rounds.

Me too. I was worried he would be let through as the panel has been crazy like that but from what I see they are putting through real good people this time. No one really funky to me so far.

These are the people who I can recall and I think they have a chance to be in the top 12. I believe Deandre has the big frizzly hair. He reminds of Guarini though. Hollie and Colton just missed out last year so it was nice to see the judges put them through this time. I think both of them are good enough for the final 12 and that Colton could win. I think Eben is a David Archuleta type with a good voice that will probably get him through. Reed reminds me of that instrument playing and growling singing guy last year. Jessica seems like this years Pia Toscano.

Deandre Brackensick
Hollie Cavanaugh
Colton Dixon
Eben Franckewitz
Reed Grimm
Jessica Sanchez

Eben will win, no doubt. I don't think he deserves it necessarily. Good singer, but the Bieber hair, good voice and boyish look will secure the pre-teen, teen and mom votes. That's enough to seal it there.

I think it's pretty stupid that a 13th male contestant was added. Did we need Jermaine that badly? Sounds like a poor X-Factor ripoff to add another contestant, for what I can tell to be no reason at all. 'Cept unlike X-Factor, Jermaine isn't going to win. He probably won't survive to Top 10.

That makes me lol to think that we were supposed to take X-Factor seriously when Simon eliminated the one that would eventually win the show.

Eben was cringe worthy awful, no way he wins. Almost all the guys were painful to listen to, I dunno what the hell the judges were on.

#1 country girl was underwhelming with a song I've never heard.
#2 the dj/singer is supposed to have a big voice but I hear a plateau with her range.
#3 Jen Hirsch sang some Adele song. Decent vocal.
#4 Brielle sang Sitting on the Dock of the Bay...Why sing such an old song? She has a nice voice but I'm not a fan of choosing that song.
#5 Hallie sang something okay.
#6 Skylar sang some country song but sang well with alot of enthusiasm.
#7 Bailey. She's pretty but she's lacking the voice and she seemed nervous. Not very good.
#8 Hollie. Now that is a big voice. I like the performance but hated the song.
#9 Haley sang Sweet Dreams. I like the song but this sounded karaoke for me. A bit screamy.
#10 Shannon is going to the prom right after the show. I don't like the song. Okay voice.
#11 Jessica has a very good voice but like many girls tonight picks a drab song.
#12 Elise sang some Adele song I haven't heard. It was a decent vocal but I didn't quite get it.
