Yeah unless the editors have been pulling a fast one on us, I just don't see a scenario where Kim doesn't win. She has been the dominant player of the season, like no one else even comes close (even if you don't agree with me that she's "brilliant," you at least must give her this). It kind of seems like Fireman Tom (Palau) or Yul (Cook Islands) all over again.

Don't count Kim in yet. She made a big mistake in choosing Chelsea and Alicia for the reward. That's her Final Three choices, let's be honest. Chelsea is a lesser version of her, but still a competitive girl, so she can say "Hey, I wanted to go against the best in the finals!" while Alicia is someone everyone generally dislikes or doesn't care about. That leaves Kat, Sabrina and Christina, as well as Tarzan. If those four are smart, which they aren't, they'd vote off Kim next week. But they won't. Cause they ain't smart.

Good lord, Chelsea looked good in that oiled-up challenge. That is all.

Kim also still has the hidden immunity idol. And she is, in my opinion, too perceptive to not know she'd be in trouble. If she had the inkling someone was plotting against her she'd use that idol ASAP.

I forgot that.

I don't give Kim a lot of credit, I know that, but at the same time, she's playing against a lot of foolish, near-sighted people. She is the best player right now by proxy. Only Chelsea is challenging her right now to win. But in the end, they'll see Kim as a stronger player, just as she wants.

To put it more simply, she and Troy are a lot alike. Both play great when in power. But once Troy lost that power, he imploded. Kim would've been the same and could have been. She doesn't have any Plan Bs lined up. Luckily she doesn't need a Plan B. Troy had nothing set up mentally to properly get votes and rightfully finished in 8th. He bullied and it didn't work.

I mean, yeah. But I think you're undervaluing how impeccable her social game has been up to this point. She has kept those women on lock, and avoided the crossfires of basically anyone from a personal standpoint (other than the brief Kat skirmish last week).

And she DID have one more than one plan. Weeks ago, she decided to go with the women instead of her (at the time) equally valid option of sticking with Jay and Troy.

Kim is the most boring best player ever. If she wins, blah. At this point, I'm praying Tarzan gets in the game somehow and makes it to the end. Then the boys can award him the money!

If I were on Survivor I would probably be trying to play like that. Kim isn't exactly riveting from a dramatic TV standpoint but she's a really dang good player. Viewers don't always favor subtle competence, though. That's why some people don't like Kim and love people like Russell.

Fine Libs. Let's put all subtlety aside. Kim is a mastermind. There never was or ever will be a Survivor player like her. End of discussion.

I never said that.

And I dunno why you're being weirdly rude and defensive about it (?)...it's Survivor. lol. I keep talking about it because I'm bored, not because I spend my life analyzing the show.

But we already know what you think and then there's a group of people thinking Kim isn't nearly a mastermind/great player you think she is. I don't know why you're insisting on going in circles. The latest argument is we don't get it because she's a subtle player. We get it. You like her and think she's worthy of a win. To me she would be one of the worst winners ever. But any of them would be and quite frankly she maybe deserves it the most. But still she's a pretty lousy player but extremely lucky one for ending with the worst crop of players ever.

Also everyone else had the same option. Stick with the original male/female tribe or the newly formed one. It's not like she positioned herself that well to be the sole swing vote and decide the course of the rest of the game. Girls decided to stick together. That's it.

Just pointing out that it's unfair to blame all of that on me. I have the same perspective from the other side.

Can we please stop bickering and get back to what matters: Chelsea is hot!

I mean, if the women present need their own, you can have Tarzan all you want. He does look pretty amazing in a speedo.

Post Re: Survivor: One World
lol. Poor dumb Kat. The writing was on the wall the second she started talking about how much fun blindsides are. She was harmless, though, and I felt mildly bad for her during her confessional sobbing. Until the moment she realized both Tarzan and Christina lasted longer than her, in which I burst out laughing.

Also: she was, like, a little TOO close with her cousin. That was a little odd.

While I did find Kat entertaining, I was glad we lost her instead of Sabrina, who I still really enjoy.

Bye Kat. It's amazing it will take until the finals to get rid of all the dumb people. And there's even some chance a dumb person (or two) end up in the finals.

Ha, glad I wasn't the only one who noticed. I just thought I had a naturally dirty mind.

Kat got what she deserved. What a 180 on her edit this week. She had to be this much of a naive brat all along, but I sure didn't notice.

This was the first time I thought Kim's eventual victory might not come. Five guys on the jury and a tremendously pissed off Kat? And three more to go. Painting herself as a leader is going to make her a target when she gets to finals with a bunch of Bitter Betties (Troyzan, Kat).

At the same time, I don't understand why her name is never even mentioned as a future vote-off, especially from Chelsea. I get it, they're aligned. But if the jury goes with who deserves it rather than "She pissed me off!!!", Kim will win.

Chelsea would be smart to think of voting off Kim next if Kim misses immunity, then take Christina and Alicia to finals. Two useless, unlikable players. But Chelsea and others seem content with the runner-up prize.

Well, that's the whole point she made at tribal council in the past episode. I think it was actually a really smart move by her, it kinda put Kim and Chelsea in the crosshairs and made the prospect of dumping her seem a bit frightening.

I do think Kim should vote her out sooner rather than later if she wants an easier ride to the win, though.

Post Re: Survivor: One World
I kind of got the feeling watching Troyzan's creepy-dude stare and Kat's emotional breakdown upon getting booted that they'll hold a grudge in the final tribal. It's just the world of being a Bitter Betty. Kim's understated "mastermind" game (no better way to describe it) may end up costing her.

Then there's the whole "have to boot three more" thing. She can't take Alicia, Sabrina and Chelsea to the finals. Any or all that do get booted will be pissed because like Kat, they all think they're on the inside.

I'm just having my doubts. Her only course to victory, for me, is Christina and Alicia: one has been a non-player for weeks, maybe since she arrived, merely surviving by another player's sickness; the other having such a high value of self-worth, it's funny. If she's next to Chelsea, Sabrina or especially Tarzan, things won't be so guaranteed. Chelsea played a good physical game, perhaps played a great social game, played a good strategic game. Sabrina seems to be a really likable person. And Tarzan is the late 60s dude that survived the men and maybe the women.
