Is this show on anymore? I am still working my way through Season 2, but it's definitely an enjoyable show.

Yes, the new season premieres in July on Starz. They bought the rights and it's now a co-production between them and BBC, and will be set in Los Angeles.

Interesting. Thanks for the heads up.

You haven't seen Children of Earth? Oh my God.

Season 1's meh. Season 2 is pretty good. But Torchwood: Children of Earth is incredible.

Yeah, with every season, Torchwood has gotten better and better.

And now with Jane Espenson and Doris Egan on board with the writing, plus Bill Pullman, Mekhi Phifer, and John de Lancie having roles on the show...

Man, Miracle Day is gonna be GREAT.

I actually enjoyed Season 1 a lot. And Season 2 is about on-par with it, IMO.

There was a point in series one, right after Cyberwoman, where I almost gave up on the show. It picked up a bit in the back half before the pretty disappointing finale.

How far are you into series two?

Almost done. Only three episodes left. The lest episode I watched was "From Out of The Rain." That was the one about the movie theater.

I thought the re-use of the glove really kicked Torchwood S2 into gear. The finale's pretty great, too.

But man... Children of Earth...

I kind of hope bringing this to Starz isn't going to fuck this show up. I'm a little worried about it being set in Los Angeles.

It's not set in Los Angeles, it's set several places on the planet. They just happen to split filming between Cardiff and Los Angeles.

Miracle Day is going to be very different from the show you're currently watching, Mike. Children of Earth completely changed things.

It's really sad Miracle Day has dropped so much in the ratings with each week. I hear it's not doing very well in the UK either. Doesn't sound like it will continue after this.

Yeah. I think the problem is that it was TOO arc-heavy. Maybe if it'd been a 6-episode "mini" series, it would have been better because it could have been MUCH tighter.

I've still gotta watch the season finale... I've liked Miracle Day so far, except that there has definitely been some boring parts....

I tried finishing Season 1 on Netflix over summer... I liked it but I felt it required too much effort for me to finish an episode. (Random Shoes was a phenomenal episode though, made me cry buckets in the end)

I think I'll try watching the rest of the series soon.

Season 2 is better than Season 1. Season 3 aka Children of Earth is PHENOMENAL.

So, I *just* finished watching the Season 4/Miracle Day finale.... WELL. That was... interesting.

I hope it's wrapped up well since this will probably be the last of Torchwood. :(

Oh lord, I will be SO surprised if they let the show continue after this season. They did in 10 eps what could've done in a really tight 2-or-3 parter.

And nope, not everything is wrapped up (in fact, they introduce a few new threads to try and cliffhang to a new season), and what does get wrapped up does so in the stupidest ways.

There were a couple episodes that I REALLY liked this season, but my overall reaction to the season in general is just... UGH.

I say hand the reigns of Torchwood showrunner (if the show continues) over to Jane Espenson and make RTD go bye-bye from the Who-related 'verse for good.
