TOP 10 DRAMA SERIES FINALISTS Boston Legal Dexter Friday Night Lights Grey's Anatomy Heroes House Lost Rome The Sopranos 24 TOP 10 COMEDY SERIES FINALISTS Desperate Housewives Entourage Extras My Name is Earl The Office Scrubs Thirty Rock Two and a Half Men Ugly Betty Weeds That's a pretty strong top 10 for Comedy, I see any of them making the nominations. Drama has some odder choices (Rome? Dexter? BOSTON LEGAL?), so it's a lot looser outside of Sopranos, Grey's and Lost (Which isn't even certain after last year). I'm thinking: DRAMA SERIES 1. The Sopranos 2. Grey's Anatomy 3. Lost 4. Friday Night Lights 5. 24 6. Heroes 7. House 8. Dexter 9. Rome 10. Boston Legal TOP 10 COMEDY SERIES FINALISTS 1. The Office 2. Two and a Half Men 3. Ugly Betty 4. 30 Rock 5. Extras 6. Desperate Housewives 7. Entourage 8. My Name is Earl 9. Weeds 10. Scrubs |

My hopeful five predictions in bold. TOP 10 DRAMA SERIES FINALISTS Boston Legal Dexter Friday Night Lights Grey's Anatomy Heroes House Lost Rome The Sopranos 24 Even though I wish 24 Season 6 would be forgotten, I still enjoyed watching the season more than House. And I don't want the other 4. TOP 10 COMEDY SERIES FINALISTS Desperate Housewives Entourage Extras My Name is Earl The Office Scrubs Thirty Rock Two and a Half Men Ugly Betty Weeds I like Earl, but... the other five would rank higher for me. Extras definitely, Office definitely, Weeds definitely, Entourage definitely. It's a tossup on the last spot between Housewives and Earl. Don't watch Scrubs, Half Men or Betty, and I just didn't like 30 Rock enough to nominate it. Any word on the acting categories? |

Two and a Half Men sucked this past season, why is that on a list and not How I Met Your Mother? Me=clueless. Other than that, those lists are expected, although 24 should be nowhere near a "best of" list with that season it just had. If I had to predict... I think it would've been pretty shocking if Dexter hadn't made the top ten. Like juju said, it got a lot of buzz this season and has been picking up nominations all year. Its odds of making it into the final five, though, are pretty slim. But yeah, Hall should make it in. |

Brothers & Sisters, The Tudors, and Rescue Me are the surprises, in terms of not making the Drama list. They were on the bubble, though, anyway. I don't know how Boston Legal fares so well; I think it made the top ten last year, too. I think a safe bet for the final five is... Best Drama 24 Grey's Anatomy House Lost The Sopranos It's hard to gauge Friday Night Lights and whether its critical reception will translate to Emmy votes. I think critics and fans will be disappointed to find that it might not. But I would really like to see it get in over something like 24 (which, despite the weak season everyone's been talking about, I think is safe because of episode submission). |

The Emmys don't announce who the finalists actually are and it just depends on rumors from people who don't care about the thingy they signed. Apparently last year's lists weren't accurate at all. |

I don't know about Comedy, but as for Drama noms, I predict: Heroes Lost Friday Night Lights Grey's Anatomy The Sopranos Remember how the second Lost season was snubed? Expect the same for 24. As for the winner, I think it will be between Lost and The Sopranos. |

Rescue Me is the best drama on television right now. It's as simple as that. (Only show I've heard that can top it and which I haven't seen is Dexter which I'll be watching soon) Denis Leary is the best actor in a drama series now. It's not like I'm pimping it because I love the show. It's really THAT good and alot of it is not in an obvious way which makes it even better! Not being nominated for Best Drama is a fucking travesty. They don't what the hell quality is. It may be a long shot but I'd be giddy if Weeds got in. So FX didn't have any shows in the top 10's?? They advertised and campaigned the shit out of all their shows. Sad. |
