I assume it will be addressed by Dawn Ostroff, but the understanding is that it's been optioned for a late pickup. We have to wait until June 15th for final word.

If they don't bring back VERONICA MARS I will not be watching CW anymore.
And I guess they are all about re-tooling shows by jumping into the future, since that's what they want to do with VERONICA MARS if it comes back and that's what they're doing with ONE TREE HILL. I personally think it could work well for VERONICA MARS, even if I'd rather have it continue from where it's been and not jump into the future, but I don't think it will work well for ONE TREE HILL. Thankfully I don't watch that show anymore.

My friend tells me that most of the OTH fans at this one message board are really upset that OTH got renewed. They are happy with where the finale will leave them and don't want to risk the creator ruining the show.
As for watching CW, well, they didn't pick up Gravity, which was the only show I would've watched. So, if VM isn't picked up, that's it. Even though Kristen Bell will be narrating Gossip Girls.

From Ausiello:
12:29 OK, here it is in a nutshell, per dawn ostroff. Veronica Mars is dead. But, and there is a but, she says she's "talking to Rob and Kristen" about doing something else. She's not calling it a spin-off, and wouldn't say whether it would feature the character of Veronica. Translation; I'm as confused as ever!

Oh yeah, Veronica Mars is real shitty. It's only a beloved critical darling. I'd like to know what you watch.
Anyway, The Futon Critic has it listed as "Fate To Be Determined," so let's not get ahead of ourselves. We were told it wouldn't be on today's schedule and a final decision wouldn't be made until June 15th, so all we can do is wait.

I read the Ausiello thing on his site. It almost sounds like Rob Thomas desperately wants VM back on the air, and Dawn Ostroff wants nothing to do with it.
I'm not hopeful.

Yeah, I'm not getting my hopes up. I'm just washing my hands of the network and getting over it.

Honestly, I'm one of those people that would be fine with OTH ending. It's had its run and I haven't bothered with cheering on the ratings in months.
I think a lot of the fans want the actors to fully dedicate themselves to their other careers as well... well, the 3 girls anyways, they have a lot of things going for them right now. I think those 3's future has as much fan anticipation as the show right now. Murray and Lafferty are going straight to the gutter and most couldn't care less, their wooden acting was always the show's one big fault.

Kristen Bell is narrating Gossip Girl?
I think if any show on the CW has a chance at breaking out, it's that one. My niece is addicted to those Gossip Girl books, and she tells me every other girl she knows reads them all the time.

Yes, she is.
The problem is that no one really cares about the teen demos. There's nothing Gossip Girl can do to help turn CW into a real network.

It doesn't make sense for the Pussycat Dolls show to be back. How many Pussycat Dolls do they need? :p

if u read correctly the title currently stands as "Pussycat Dolls Present," they're not looking of another member, it will be a different band but have the pussycat name because it was a modest hit for the cw.
