Once upon a time, a mild-mannered boy named Ned realized he could touch dead things and bring them back to life. Grown-up Ned puts his ability to good use, not only touching dead fruit and making it ripe with everlasting flavor, but working with an investigator to crack murder cases by asking the deceased to name their killers. But the tale gets complicated, as all tales do, when Ned brings his childhood sweetheart, Chuck, back from the dead and keeps her alive. Yup

Not official, but I'm going to assume in the Wednesday at 8 time slot in February.

Three new shows on Wednesday? Hmm... not a good plan, I don't think. I'm guessing their banking on Grey's Anatomy fans tuning in to Private Practice, not at all anticipating a "Joey" instead of assuming it's a "Frasier".

Christopher Titus back on TV! Woo!

I saw Christina Applegate's name and my mind tricked me into thinking it was Charisma Carpenter at first. Sam I Am sounds cute, though.

They're putting a lot of new shows... I like that. I hope the risk will pay off. I'm still bummed we won't see Footballer's Wives. That was definitely the show I was looking forward to. I'll definitely have a look at all new ABC shows, except Cavmen. It sounds and feels awful.

I heard they have the option to give Football Wives a series order through October. (Similar to October Road this season.)

Hopefully Cavemen won't be toooo atrocious, I mean the commercials are funny and everything, if they can find a way to get that kind of humor in and stretch into a half-hour...

Have you read the plotline? It's a drama using the cavemen as metaphors for prejudice and bigotry in this world. The script page posted a while back was pretty much the funniest thing I've read all year.

Not so much a fall schedule as a revolutionary new prescription for pre-op transsexuals. Just reading that line-up made my voice go up two octaves and my chest increase to a 32AA.

It turned out that was just the creator joking around. But apparently most of the humor IS based around prejudices and the like. It's gonna be either brilliant or unbearable.

For the Geico Caveman show, will there still be the commercials too? So during an episode of the show we could see even more of the Cavemen since it would seem to make sense for Geico to advertise during it?

Or will Geico go back to using the gecko? I think they should have made a Gecko sitcom. Now that I'd watch.

Anyone remember the California Raisin tv show back in the 80's? That was classic

Assuming quality is there (of course)...

Mondays...
Great idea for scheduling. Sam I Am seems like one of the few shows this season that could actually be a good hit (if only because of Christina Applegate and her fitting perfectly in that little dexcription of the show). Having SWTS as a lead in is definitely going to help. If it becomes a hit, then October Road has a decent chance of surviving the season when it returns.

Tuesdays...
I'm not so sure it's a great idea to place the comedies BEFORE Dancing with the Stars. That's kinda risky and kinda... dumb. They should lead off Mondays and Tuesdays with DWTS. Also... Boston Legal is doing fine on its own and is the show that least needs DWTS as a lead in to help it. I think there was a wasted opportunity this night. Even still, it will probably be their 4th hgihest rated night in the ratings (Behind the established Sundays/thursdays and recent Mondays).

Wednesdays...
I actually like how they're putting all new dramas. I think it's going to fall flat on their face but I'm glad some people are taking risks. I could be wrong, but I really think Private Pratice is going to tank unless they radically change the quality and storylines. Dirty Sexy Money might have a chance... I don't know how much of a draw Peter Krause is for broadcast TV but I will tune in just for him and check it out. There is an off chance that this might work. I can see all 3 shows possibly averaging around 10-12 million viewers a week, which would, in my view, be a HUGE success. Unless one or two of them really tank from the start, they should use the fall to see which of the 3 shows has the best shot of surviving and then strategically place Lost to help it out in the spring (against Idol).

Thursdays...
I'm glad they didn't mess with the first 2 hour block but Ugly Betty, if you ask me, is on thin ice if it begins the fall with the recent barely-10m viewers a week ratings. I don't see Big Shots working because I really don't think Michael Vartan is that big of a draw for a lead (McDermott might help though). The premise though fits in perfectly with the female-skewed Thursday line-up trying to lure in some men.

Fridays...
Not gonna work. IF they were unhappy with Men in Trees on Fridays last season why did they put it back in that timeslot?

Sundays...
IF it aint broken, don't fix it might be true but Home Makeover is starting to fade and they might really start thinking about re-tooling their Sundays. I have a constant fear that Brothers and Sisters is going to go the same route as Once and Again but thankfully ABC sees that they can't afford to tamper with such a solid casted show and are keeping it put. I hope a surprise Emmy nod will raise its awareness for next season.

Overall, I don't think ABC is going to worse than this season. they are either going to stay the same or move up a tiny bit.

George Lopez is officially cancelled from what I read in the papers and judging by George Lopez's reaction, it aint ever coming back.

Does this also mean that According to Jim is canned? (Oh please!!!!)

Am I the only one who finds the title "Dirty Sexy Money" hysterical? It's just so off-kilter and non-subtle.

I had a massive crush on Christina Applegate during her Married With Children days. I've never been more disappointed to find out someone's a massive dick in real life than I was with her.

Sounds exactly like something Peter Krause would star in.

The best clip was from Miss Guided as it is the funniest, most cohesive clip. Kind of sad it comes from a mid-season show. Pushing Daisies looks okay but the premise is really far-fetched and quirky, really not a good thing for a show.

Sam I Am seems dumb. Cavemen and Carpoolers look even dumber. Private Practice actually looks fun.

Pushing Daisies - I liked it. A lot. This thing jumped on top of my can't wait list...

Vartan and McDermott are OK, but those other two guys from Big Shots look like they should've been casted for a role in Cavemen. The show doesn't really seem like the best new show, but it seems decent.

Woman's Murder Club seems like the big bosses of all three CSI changed gender and got together. And found one more highly intelligent person to bable with about nothing.

Cashmere Mafia looks really good. But it feels like a mash-up of DH and UB. So that might not work for the show at all. And why did the number 4 become a standard for the number of main characters?

Eli Stone was sooooo fun.

Miss/Guided was... arghhhh... Rebbeca seemed like a naive knock off of Becki Newton's character in UB, but the clip was... I don't now. I felt like I should like it, but I didn't.

I'd rank them:

1) Pushing Daisies
2) Eli Stone
3) Big Shots
4) Private Practice
5) Cashmere Mafia
6) Miss/Guided
7) Woman's Murder Club
8) Sam I Am
9) Carpoolers
10) Cavemen

Dirty Sexy Money clip doesn't work for me.

Well, at least I won't have to worry about watching any new shows...

Ditto

Nothing interesting there for me.
