So far the lowest rating for a new Simpsons. heh a repeat of the Family Guy actually beating the show. Never could understand the fuss about the Family Guy but at least that new Simpsons was better than its previous episode. But the biggest news is Desperate Housewives seeking to desperately boost its ratings

Was there a holiday or something??? Why are the ratings soooooooo low????? And what is the reason behind DH falling so hard from the start of the season? I heard the series was better than ever!?!?!

Across the board, every network had seen (generally) falling ratings. It's really odd. Maybe cable-viewing is at a high?

Oh and the Simpsons number is an average of its new (8 PM) and repeat episode (8:30) per Marc Berman. I do wonder how much audience the new one got (which I thought was a huge improvement over the past episodes, of the ones that I manage to watch anyway).

Crossroads?

They still make movies-of-the-week?

Probably 7.2 to 7.6 million. I noticed a trend where Family Guy repeats do sometimes slightly better than Simpson repeats but no more than a 1.0 million average

its april, this is always the time of the year that really sucks in the ratings. We'll see an uptick during may.

On the same Sunday last year, a clips show of Desperate Housewive got 15.78 million viewers.... higher than this Sunday's original episode. April doesn't necessarily have to be "down." there just seems to be something wrong this year with Sunday and Thursday ratings of late... more than the usual off-sweeps slumps.

I wonder if basketball and/or hockey ratings are up.

People just aren't talking about DH period. People were all abuzz about it this fall, but people seem to have stopped caring. Weird.

Ah yes, from 3.5 million viewers to 4 million plus I'm sure. Hockey is so dead in America.

Shhh. It's just that there was no basketball on Thursday, so I had to think of some reason that fits for both nights. But I still watch...
