The weird thing is that Idol performance shows are down ratings-wise, but the results show are actually up. Maybe people tune in just to see Sanjaya go away for good?

Yeah it's pretty weird. I think this is the first year that the results show is getting higher ratings than the performance show. I think this year the contestents are so weak that people really don't care to watch them and the only selling point they have going is how far can Sanjaya go. Once he gets the boot, I think both shows ratings will take a large plunge.

The results shows are getting more viewers because for the past few weeks they have been on from 9:00-10:00 which is a much higher viewing hour than 8:00-9:00.

Any time Idol is on for two hours there is a significant jump in the second hour.

I think you overestimate how many people care about Sanjaya.

It's not really funny anymore, it's just annoying.

Yep it was funny, the first show then I found it got old REALLY quick. He has to be really bad and have some crazy ass hair to be "loved" he had no crazy hair last night and he was just bad, like hurt your ears bad And tha smile, I just want to smack it right off .

The results show always gets higher rating than the performance towards the end.
