Watching Thank God Your Here makes me appreciate and miss Whos Line is IT Anyway(curse you ABC). Im not saying Thank God You;re Here is a bad show since there are some excellent bits with Jane Lynch, Bryan Cranston and Harland Williams but the rest of the cast just semmed nervous, unfunny and cant do improv at all.

Compared to Whos Line is it anyway where Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady,Colin Mohcrie and Grey Proops who all oretty much nail their roles so well and adlibing comes naturally to them. I really miss that show, it seriously was one of the funniest show on earth with 4 of the most talented improv comedians ever

I miss stuff like this

God, I loved this show. I'm glad it's on ABC family, but it deserves to be in primetime, especially with Thank God Your Here not only being on, but doing well. Given a proper timeslot it could do well, despite it's drop in ratings the last year it was on. It'll never happen, but I can wish.

There was a thread on here not too long ago that featured a link to a website that had complete episodes to shows, and this was one of those shows. Does anyone remember that link?

The episode that I will never forget and that probably made me pee my pants was the one where they had Colin reporting on something and he had to guess what and it was various clips of his bald head. I loved the on going jokes about that.

the green screen one. i remember it.

the green screen and the voice overs are the most brilliant. i usually avoid the songs though .. unless its chip or brad. never liked wayne much unless he was doing weird newscasters.

Wayne singing was the only time I liked him.

Wayne's awesome at his singing bits. I mean how many comedians can do a great variation of arena rock, reggae, heavy metal and grunge songs sung to the tune of another character

Anyhow heres how I rank them

1.Ryan Stiles
2.Colin Mochrie
3.Wayne Brady
4.Greg Proops
5.Drew Carrey
The rest of the guest stars are alright but not great. Robin Williams did one episode where he nailed his parts and fit right in

I'm not really into improv. Whose Line? had some funny stuff, but there was also plenty more that left me rolling my eyes.

I haven't watched TGYH.

I remember that one! It was brilliant. Didn't Robin Williams like keep popping up in random places through out the episode?

Yeah its mainly true that Thank God You're Here is not really all that great with the exeption of the 3 guest stars I mentioned in the thread, the rest of the guest just suck at improv but I dont really blame them since the setup just sucks and the regular skit actors from each segment dont know how to improvis to flow in with what the guest stars are doing. REally its 3 sides to blame, the guest stars, the skit actors and writers. Its the reason why I miss Whose Line more after seeing how TGYH went wrong

Haven't see Who's Line for years, back when Clive Anderson was presenting and it was on British TV.

the american version gets a bad rep but it was quite good with some ingenius games. my only problem with the american version was the lack of rotation (personally i felt that while ryan and colin should feature often, all the cast should have been rotated) and the fact that the number of games per episode were set and too few.

Carey also liked ho downs and shit .. which was annoying. i remember how much ryan styles hated those.

I hated the ho downs and the songs with the audience. The best was props.

Ryan doesnt even hide his hate for ho down since he always sings about hating it even on the ho down bits

Yes, I like the British version better. BTW, the first two season of the UK version are now available on DVD.
