Old Christine! WTF was CBS thinking?

Yikes 24 is down a million from last year. Didn't think Deal would be that huge. Heh, it's still up from Season 1 to Season 4 numbers, so I guess that's good. The show needs to get back on track creatively.

Wow, I can't believe that 24 is down without Heroes up against it. I know Deal or No Deal was up from what Heroes was doing, but it's a completely different audience.

Yeah the 24 demo has been down. Did its audience now suddenly skew older Republicansnow that Surnow has been all over trumpeting his right-wing craziness? :hahaha:

The Christine numbers make The Class look decent which is good. I really want The Class to be renewed.

Btw, that's the average for Old Christine from 8-9. The 8:30 numbers are about on par with The Class. Considering Old Christine got an Emmy last year, I would venture a guess that CBS would choose Christine over Class.

Even though I ended up missing a lot of the 2nd half of the Class's season, I really hope CBS chooses it over Christine. For one thing, it has soooo much more potential. Christine has had 2.5 men with it for like 2 years, and it still can't hold an audience, I think it's proof that a lot of people are considering it a typical bland sitcom, that lives completley off 2.5 Men.

The Class on the other hand has the cast, individualistic characters, and storylines to actually become a worthwhile sitcom. With the way it improved over the season, it's reminding me a whole lot of very early Friends/Seinfield, etc., when they were young and suck-worthy. I'm wishing on a star right now that CBS makes a rare creatively benefitting decision, for once.

How I Met Your Mother and The Class are shows that could realistically give sitcoms life again if they are given the chance. I love the medium, so I'm hoping on a whisper.

The Class has a zero percent chance at big Emmys. Julia Louis-Dreyfus will at least get nominated for Best Actress. Plus, its ratings weren't that bad out of Two and a Half Men. But, it's no Rules of Engagement (a sad fact).

I haven't seen Rules of Engagement since its pilot. Mainly because it's the same as Til Death, just with David Spade thrown in the mix. The formula is basically the same: Spade is a womanizer, the older couple realize their sex life is not what it used to be, and the young couple realizes their sex life will eventually not be what it is now. Hilarity supposedly ensues.

Eesh, not too great for Old Christine. It could bode well that the 8:30 episode (which will be its normal timeslot) improved from the 8.

I hope people (AKA Marc Berman) will stop slamming How I Met Your Mother's performance all the time when Christine didn't even get 8 million at 8 pm.

ouch for 24.
I think it's peaked in it's ratings. They should end the show soon.

Fox can't afford to do that. 24 is its second highest rated scripted show. They'll keep 24 around as long as they can.

The raitings are fine. The show should stay around 12 million from here out for this year maybe get closer to 14 for the season finale. It is still a top 20 show and is way above the numbers it was getting back in Season 1-4.

From what i've heard the quality of the show has dropped significantly season to season, and when both ratings and quality start dropping so late on in a shows run, usually it's not a good sign.

4.9 for The Black Donnelly's?

Well I'd say that wraps up that show.

The Class has more upside considering Christine has been around longer and still, as someone said, holding an audience. Plus, it has to more expensive as well with the bigger name cast.

I think it hovered around 5.0-6.0 for the first four seasons until it somehow broke out last year.

In millions of viewers, the first season averaged 8 million, 2nd and 3rd had American Idol as lead-in during the Spring, but only managed on average 10 million. 4th season moved to non-stop Mondays during January and had about 11.5-12 million. Last season's average was more than 13 million.

Season to date, it is still above 14 million (per Zap2it) but recent episodes dipped under 13 million.
